Dé VakantieDiscounter is the leading online travel agency in the Benelux, where our customers experience an easier and more comfortable way of booking their holiday. We are scaling up considerably to grow nationally and internationally in the coming years. Our website and underlying platform stand at the basis of its success, and we are looking for a Conversion Specialist to help us realize our future growth plans and ambition.

Who are we looking for?

You are a Conversion Specialist who loves to discover actionable insights and gets excited by learning from experiments. You are curious by nature, like to take initiative to get things done, and are looking for a challenge to make an impact within a scale-up environment.

What are you going to do?

As a Conversion Specialist, you will be responsible for measuring, analyzing and optimizing the customer journey on our website. You will do this by collaborating with various colleagues like a Product Owner, UX Designers, Developers and Data Analysts.

You will be maintaining our tracking framework by creating implementation plans to track functionality with Google Analytics, to keep up to speed with the latest standards and to ensure that we are measuring what matters. You are additionally focused to further automate our experimentation capabilities with the ambition that product development teams can execute A/B tests autonomously.

You will provide actionable insights through qualitative and quantitative research to understand the behavior of our customers. You help as well to monitor the ongoing results, and strategically work together with our Product owner for the website to identify where we can make the most valuable improvements.

You will be involved in the process around experimentation on our website. You will translate insights into hypotheses and craft experiments in collaboration with Product Owners and UX Designers. After experiments, you will ensure that your findings are documented and shared with stakeholders. 

The Product department has the aim to work with a strong agile mindset. We are focused on data-driven decision making, high quality, quick feedback cycles and always putting the customer first You will play a key role in advocating this mindset within the team and wider organization.

What are we asking?

5+ years of related work experience

A related degree is preferred but not required

Experience with Web Analytics, Product Analytics Conversion Rate Optimization and Usability principles

Experience with tools and languages such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, VWO, Optimizely, SQL and Google BigQuery

Knowledge of statistics

Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript

Knowledge of agile and scrum methodologies

A self-starter with a commercial and data-driven mindset
