Nouvall Engineering Services is specialized inproject support for the (petro) chemical and maritime industry. Weprovide expertise in the field of Engineering, Project Management,Maintenance, Shutdowns, Construction and Safety.
Functieomschrijving• To support the Project EnineeringManager, in the performance of his/her duties, deputising asrequired.
• Work closely withthe Execute contractor to ensure that all Civil, Structural andArchitectural (CSA) Engineering issues are properly resolved in atimely manner, that design changes are managed correctly, and thatthe facilities comply with all project and statuatory requirementsand Stakeholder expectations.
•Monitor site CSA construction work performed by the ExecuteContractors and other third party designers/vendors/subcontractors,providing oversight and guidance, ensuring that all work satisfiesproject specifications and standards and meets or ideally is betterthan the project schedule and cost targets.
• Support and improve coordination between: siteand home office engineering, construction and engineering, withother functions and disciplines.
• Excellent teamplayer.
• Strong interpersonal,communication and influencing skills.
• Strong planning and organizingability.
• Highly motivated,achievement oriented.
• Abilityto interface effectively with people of all levels, both internaland third parties, and with wide ranging culturalbackgrounds.
• Able to defineand prioritize issues and then solve the problems throughnetworking with other team members or externalsources.
• Innovative, with aneye for identifying opportunities to reduce costs and challenge thestatus quo.
• Goodunderstanding of business drivers and ability to align designphilosophies.
• Broadestimating skills and practical understanding of costs (capital,operating, life cycle).
•Willing and flexibility to travel.
• Good verbal and written communication skills inEnglish.
It would beadvantageous if the candidate would also have the followingbackground and work experience:
• Major projectexperience with strong design engineering/procurement backgroundand a broad understanding of multiple disciplines and theirinterfaces.
• Experience of field engineering on a majorproject oils and gas or petrochemicals construction site workingwith EPC contractors and their subcontractors.
• Proventrack record of delivering leading SHE performance.
•Experience of supervising work in a Module Fabrication Shop.
• Acting as an owners representative on a major project.
Specific Role Requirements:
• Degreequalified and chartered or equivalent in appropriate engineeringdiscipline.
• More than15 years’ experience inEngineering role it Oil and gas or Petrochemical setting.
• Seasoned and experienced Engineer.
• Soundknowledge of key disciple areas including:
- BelgiumCivil regulations and laws.
- Roles and Responsibilitiesof Notifiable Bodies, and theirequivalent.
