Nouvall Engineering Services is specialized inproject support for the (petro) chemical and maritime industry. Weprovide expertise in the field of Engineering, Project Management,Maintenance, Shutdowns, Construction and Safety.
Functieomschrijving• Support the Site Project Manager, inthe performance of his/her duties, deputising asrequired.
• Work closely withthe Execute contractor to ensure that all Project Engineeringissues are properly resolved in a timely manner, that designchanges are managed correctly, and that the facilities comply withall Project and statuatory requirements and Stakeholderexpectations.
• Monitor siteconstruction work performed by the Execute Contractors and otherthird party designers/vendors/subcontractors, providing oversightand guidance, ensuring that all work satisfies the Projectspecifications and standards and meets or ideally is better thanthe project schedule and cost targets.
• Oversee the work of the Document Controllers andthe document flow from contractors, vendors, licensors and otherstakenholders to the Project Delivery Team and vice versa tosupport the project progress and qualityrequirements.
• Excellent teamplayer.
• Strong interpersonal,communication and influencing skills.
• Strong planning and organizingability.
• Highly motivated,achievement oriented.
• Abilityto interface effectively with people of all levels, both internaland third parties, and with wide ranging culturalbackgrounds.
• Able to defineand prioritize issues and then solve the problems throughnetworking with other team members or externalsources.
• Innovative, with aneye for identifying opportunities to reduce costs and challenge thestatus quo.
• Goodunderstanding of business drivers and ability to align designphilosophies.
• Broadestimating skills and practical understanding of costs (capital,operating, life cycle).
•Willing and flexibility to travel, although the role is based inAntwerp Belgium.
• Good verbaland written communication skills in English.
It would be advantageous if personnelwould also have the following background workexperience:
• Major projectexperience with strong design engineering/procurement backgroundand a broad understanding of multiple disciplines and theirinterfaces.
• Proven trackrecord of delivering leading SHE performance.
• Experience of supervising work in a Contractor’sDesign Office.
• Experience ofsupervising work in a Module Fabrication Shop.
• Experience of field engineering and/orconstruction on a major Construction Site.
Specific RoleRequirements:
• Degreequalified and chartered or equivalent in appropriate engineeringdiscipline.
• More than 15years’ experience in Engineering role it Oil and gas orPetrochemical setting. Operations experience would be a significantadvantage.
• Seasoned andexperienced Engineer.
• Workwill be based in Contractors office but occasional travel to otherlocations in Europe will berequired.
