The Business Solution Architect role sits in the Product Development and Pricing Business Alignment domain within the Business Technology department, reporting into the Senior Manager of Product Development and Pricing.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • As Business Solution architect, you will bridge the gap between technology and the business – demystifying data by working with teams to translate functional requirements into clear, technical solutions in a way that is understandable for both technical and non-technical users.

 

  • You will represent Business Technology by being a trusted advisor to business stakeholders from Innovation, Format & Design, Real Estate and Beauty Tech. Partnering with them to understand their end-to-end processes and challenges whilst driving process improvement by creating scalable, reliable and future-proof functional designs. These core business processes are - Product and Service Lifecycle Management, Assortment Lifecycle Management, Store Lifecycle Management and Pricing.

 

  • You will collaborate with Business stakeholders, Project and Product Managers, Business Analysts and other domain architects to select, implement, deliver and maintain robust, sustainable, software solutions that support our future vision. Rituals architects regularly connect to analyse impact on systems and processes; manage dependencies whilst ensuring design coherence.

 

  • Your expertise will be used as input to some of the biggest strategic programs within Rituals that relate to the Product Development and pricing domain. These include implementation of a new master product data model; product sales hierarchy; pricing tool and PLM tool.

 

  • Where relevant, you will participate in tool selection processes for new potential software vendors for projects that impact the Product Development and Pricing domain.

You aren’t afraid of ever-changing goal posts – you take it in your stride by remaining calm, adaptable and taking others on the journey with you.

 

  • At least 6 years of work experience as a business technology consultant, solution architect or similar field  
  • Impeccable communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • You have experience in working within a business environment that has a strong IT or technology component
  • You have proven, relevant experience of working with stakeholders and teams to manage successful implementation of new software to drive business transformation (ideally solutions that involve the product lifecycle process – e.g PLM, pricing, product master data)
  • Thrive in an open, fast-paced environment, embrace change, and excel in a dynamic and flexible setting 
  • You are determined and persistant, you will keep trying until you have reached your goals, while taking your stakeholders along 
  • Experience in the retail industry is a plus 
  • Enthusiasm and passion, you know how to inspire people to achieve their goals 
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
