Accounting Officer in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 524142) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should have a recognized Accounting or Finance-related degree with at least 3 years’ relevant work experience, OR a Higher Diploma with 5 passes in HKCEE including English (minimum Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007) or minimum Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language with at least 6 years’ relevant work experience in accounting or finance. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably Putonghua); proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Chinese input; the ability to work independently; and be self-motivated. Those with work experience in tertiary institutions/large organizations, and knowledge of using Oracle financial system would have an advantage. 

The appointee will perform executive and supervisory duties in financial accounting, management accounting and project account management. He/She will have the opportunities to rotate in different positions to supervise junior staff and handle financial accounting matters including preparation of journal entries, processing of payment vouchers and purchase orders, and monitoring budgetary control matters. The appointee will also uptake other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
