Accounting Officer/Accounting Executive in the Clinical Trials Centre
The Clinical Trials Centre (HKU-CTC) is a leading clinical trials management platform established under The University of Hong Kong LKS Faculty of Medicine (HKUMed). We are seeking a high-calibre finance and accounting professional to join our team as an Accounting Executive. Candidates with higher qualifications or more experience may be considered for appointment as Accounting Officer.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform daily accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain and verify financial records in systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform account and transaction reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare financial and management reports, providing insights for informed decision-making.
- Other accounting duties as required, supporting the team's goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related disciplines.
- 1 year's accounting experience is preferred, but fresh university graduates will also be considered.
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and independent, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
- Good knowledge of PC and software applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The appointment will be made on a two-year fixed-term full-time contract, commencing as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
