Technical Service Specialist - Repair Technician (entertainmentindustrie)

Wat ga je doen?
Als Repair Technician bij Penko ben je samen met jouw collega verantwoordelijk voor het repareren van de binnenkomende defecte apparatuur van onze moedermaatschappij ETC en het voorbereiden en testen van demo- en uitleenapparatuur voor verzending naar klanten. Het gaat hierbij om verlichtingsoplossingen en controleapparatuur voor theaters, film- en tv-studio’s, architectonische ruimtes en de entertainmentindustrie. Iedere dag is anders, aangezien ETC meer dan 100 verschillende producten produceert.
Kortom, jij houdt je bezig met:
• Onderzoeken en oplossen van technische problemen aan ETC apparatuur (waaronder ook demo en uitleenapparatuur). Hierbij bepaal jij of een product gerepareerd kan worden of vervangen moet worden. Bij reparaties ben jij de aangewezen persoon om dit te doen.
• Voorbereiden en testen van demo- en uitleenapparatuur voor verzending naar klanten.
• Bieden van technische ondersteuning voor producten via telefoon of e-mail.
• Samenwerken met Technical Service Admin om RMA-retouren te vergemakkelijken. Daarnaast zorg je voor een juiste registratie in het systeem en hou je de klant op de hoogte van de voortgang.
• Verstrekken van informatie en begeleiding voor software-upgrades en het configureren van nieuwe apparatuur voor productie.
• Bieden van ondersteuning bij beurzen, zoals het voorbereiden van apparatuur en eventueel zelf deelnemen aan de beurs.
• Trainen van intern personeel, externe technici en klanten in de juiste reparaties van ETC-producten.
• Bieden van producttesten voor R&D indien nodig.
In deze functie werk je nauw samen met jouw collega Tom. Daarnaast rapporteer je aan jouw leidinggevende Steve in Londen en aan Hans (Managing Director Penko) in Ede.

Wat neem je mee?
• Een afgeronde mbo opleiding in een technische richting, zoals elektronica of vergelijkbaar.
• Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring met elektronische reparaties, bij voorkeur in de theaterindustrie
• Goede kennis van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal: je communiceert in het Engels met oa jouw leidinggevende en sommige klanten
• Kennis van printplaten, elektronica en mechanische assemblage
• Goede soldeervaardigheden en handig in het gebruik van handgereedschap, kleine elektrische gereedschappen en testapparatuur.
• Ervaring met het lezen van technische tekeningen
• Daarnaast ben je oplossingsgericht en kun je apparatuur tillen tot 23 kilo (soms moet er apparatuur verplaatst worden. Hierbij helpen uiteraard ook jouw collega’s)

• Een baan voor 32 tot 38.75 uur per week met een passend salaris
• Een functie voor langere tijd met kans op een contract voor onbepaalde tijd

Technical Service Specialist - Repair Technician (Entertainment Industry)

What will you do?
As a Repair Technician at Penko, you and your colleague are responsible for repairing incoming defective equipment from our parent company ETC and preparing and testing demo and loan equipment for shipment to customers. This includes lighting solutions and control equipment for theaters, film and TV studios, architectural spaces, and the entertainment industry. Each day is different as ETC produces more than 100 different products.

In short, you will:
• Investigate and solve technical problems with ETC equipment (including demo and loan equipment). You will determine whether a product can be repaired or needs to be replaced. If it needs repairs, you are the one to do it.
• Prepare and test demo and loan equipment for shipment to customers.
• Provide technical support for products via phone or email.
• Collaborate with the Technical Service Admin to facilitate RMA returns. You will also ensure correct registration in the system and keep the customer informed of progress.
• Provide information and guidance for software upgrades and configure new equipment for production.
• Support at trade shows, such as preparing equipment and possibly attending the show.
• Train internal staff, external technicians, and customers in proper repairs of ETC products.
• Provide product testing for R&D when needed.

In this role, you will work closely with your colleague Tom. You will report to your supervisor Steve in London and Hans (Managing Director Penko) in Ede.

What do you bring?
• A completed MBO degree in a technical field, such as electronics or similar.
• At least 3 years of experience in electronic repairs, preferably in the theater industry.
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English: you will communicate in English with, among others, your supervisor and some customers.
• Knowledge of circuit boards, electronics, and mechanical assembly.
• Good soldering skills and proficiency with hand tools, small power tools, and test equipment.
• Experience reading technical drawings.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to lift equipment up to 23 kilos (sometimes equipment needs to be moved. Of course, your colleagues are always ready to help).
