Job Description

This role is located in our office in Capelle a/d IJssel. We only consider candidates with a valid work permit. 

Together with your team, you are responsible for processing payments, expense claims, verifying invoices and performing month-end closing activities.

As accounts payable you are an important link where you regularly switch with other departments to get our creditors administration in order.

We are looking for a Specialist to join our team and work with our accounting department to oversee our organization’s expenses. Ultimately, you will work with our accounting team to ensure our organization’s expenditures are accurate and our accounting practices are standardized across the organization. You will have the following responsibilities and are capable to:

  • Prepare accounts payable reports to support local sales organizations
  • Manage Masterdata for Accounts Payable
  • Monitor the correctness of the procedures

Qualifications

About you

We are looking for a person with great analytic and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a challenging, international environment, and has good understanding of numbers.

You are committed, well organized, responsible and accurate, have a sense of urgency and can work under pressure with deadlines. You are pro-active, hands-on and able to maintain contacts with different stakeholders at various levels. You have experience in a similar role and qualifications as:

  • Vocational diploma (MBO4) or Bachelor in Finance/Accounting or a related field
  • +3 years relevant experience in Accounts Payable in an international environment
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel & Word, knowledge of SAP is desirable.
  • Good communication skills
  • Pro-active and organized team player with the ability to work across cultural boundaries
  • Ability to work independently
  • Fluency in English, proficiency in Dutch. Proficiency in another European language is a plus
