Position Summary:

The Financial Consolidation & Reporting Specialist position is a critical member of the Financial Reporting Team, supporting our Financial Department operations. This role provides support for process-level transactions in accounts receivable, bank guarantees, cash flow, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP-SOX standards. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers providing essential support and analysis to drive our business forward. Additionally, the Finance Specialist will be responsible for statutory financial reporting under Dutch GAAP and will support external audits to ensure accurate and compliant financial records. The Financial Consolidation & Reporting Specialist must also be available to develop custom reporting and provide fact-based guidance upon request for various business purposes. This position is responsible for maintaining the appropriate financial reporting on a monthly & quarterly base, control environment for receivable and payable positions, including the review and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, and SOX controls.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end periodic financial reporting with proper financial statements in Dutch and US GAAP. Prepare year end statutory statutory financial report in accordance with Dutch GAAP Prepare Plug Netherlands Holding consolidation. Maintain and update the Accounts Receivable aging list. Communicate with project managers to assess the collectability of receivables, evaluate bad debt, and identify contingencies. Maintain the schedule for bank guarantees and perform relevant follow-up communication with the bank. Prepare, monitor, and manage cash flow reports for the company to ensure financial stability. Support the monthly/quarterly financial closing and reporting activities of the Company. Support the Company’s SOX requirements, including documentation, testing and making ongoing recommendations for internal control process changes. Perform intercompany reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Provide ad hoc reports and actions to support business operations. Support external audits to ensure accurate and compliant financial records. Knowledge of Dutch and EU VAT/DTX/TP. Represent Plug Power in a professional manner and in all interactions.

Education And Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong knowledge of US & Dutch GAAP and SOX compliance standards. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficient in financial software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. Experience of ERP systems. (SAP experience will be a plus) Experience with SEC Reporting and meeting related deadlines. Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively.
