IT Business Analyst (at the rank of IT Officer/IT Technician) (several posts) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 524018)(to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Communication, Business Administration or related disciplines, with at least 2 years’ experience in IT Business Analysis or related fields. They should have a sound understanding of business analysis practices as well as IT best practices, including but not limited to as-is/to-be analysis, gap analysis, fishbone analysis, and agile approach. They should also have exposure to hands-on data analytic practices with tools, such as Microsoft Excel and SQL. A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese); and good articulation, presentation and interpersonal skills are essential.
The appointees will be responsible for solutions sourcing and evaluation. They will solicit, analyze, and convert user requirements into system specification and prioritize user requirements according to the business impacts. They will also perform quality assurance test before user acceptance test. Other duties include preparing project documents and artifacts, including but not limited to requirement specification, communication strategy as well as plan, test plan, training material, and user procedure manual; contributing to project solution delivery by coordinating with involved stakeholders; and developing system mock-up and proof-of-concept (PoC).
