We are currently looking for Product Manager Substrates, Kekkilä-BVB Central Europe

Are you a plant enthusiast with a flair for innovation? Join us as a Product Manager and take the lead in managing and developing our cutting-edge portfolio of substrate solutions for the horticulture segment. Your deep expertise and visionary approach will empower our sales team, equipping them with the technical prowess to deliver top-notch service and innovative solutions to our valued customers. Responsibilities at a glance:

  • Innovative Product Management (60%):
    - Provide expert advice for the best foundation of growth for our customers.
    - Responsible for the development of the Horticulture substrates product portfolio and drive the innovative changes in the organisation.
    - Work close with innovation to develop, test and implement new solutions to serve our customers needs.
    - Lead innovative projects within the horticulture ecosystem. 
    - Ensure projects meet business development and innovation targets.
  • Empower Sales Teams (30%):
    -     Conduct engaging training sessions and onboarding programs.
    - Facilitate seamless communication across profit centres.
    - Craft and deliver compelling content for BVB College and represent Kekkilä-BVB at industry events.
  • Build Strategic Partnerships (10%):
    - Collaborate within BA Central Europe and with cross-functional teams to improve customer satisfaction and business development.
    - Work closely with colleagues from other BAs on diverse projects.
    - Represent Kekkilä-BVB in key external partnerships with organizations like RHP and Wageningen University.


You will bring:

  • Expertise in the Technical and Business Aspects of Horticulture
    You have an extensive background in horticulture, understanding the industry's scientific and commercial sides. Your knowledge helps bridge the gap between product development and market needs.
  • Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a Related Field:
    Your advanced education provides a solid foundation in horticultural science, ensuring you have the technical knowledge required to excel in this role.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus):
    Effective communication is key in our global operations. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in other languages will give you an edge in interacting with our diverse team and international clients.
  • Relevant Experience:
    Your experience in horticulture or a related field demonstrates your deep understanding and capability to handle complex projects and responsibilities in this industry.
  • Strong Commercial Insight and Technical Proficiency:
    You possess the ability to understand market trends and commercial opportunities, combined with strong technical skills to develop and support innovative products.
  • Exceptional Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
    You excel at analyzing complex issues, identifying root causes, and developing effective solutions, ensuring our products and strategies meet the highest standards.
  • A Creative and Innovative Mindset:
