Wat ga jij doen als Developer Experience Engineer / Platform Engineer?
Het leven van jouw collega–developers gemakkelijker makenJij selecteert en introduceert nieuwe tools en leert developers hiermee werken. Vervolgens interpreteerjede resultaten en implementeerje nieuwe workflows bij developmentteams, samen met jouwteamgenoten.Waar voor developers normaal gesproken de focus ligt bij het maken van mooie, functionele en vooral gebruiksvriendelijke software voor klanten, kijk jij naar de stap daarvoor.
Jij ondersteunt de programmeurs door het scripten en configureren van allerlei soorten tools. Welke tools dat zijn? Daar ga jij naar op zoek. Je spreekt en onderzoekt met de vijftien verschillende developmentteams, operations en ICT waar de knel- en pijnpunten liggen en zoekt een oplossing. Daarnaast ben jij op de hoogte van de nieuwste ontwikkelingen in development en introduceert nieuwe tools en processen bij collega’s.
En dat is nog lang niet alles Je onderhoudt en actualiseert de tools en infrastructuur die door het team worden geïmplementeerd. Ten slotte bied je uitstekende ondersteuning aan andere developers die problemen of vragen hebben tijdens het werken met deze tools.
Waar kom jij terecht?
Bij de Platform Layer, waar je onderdeel wordt van het Development Experience Tteam. Dit team bestaat nu uit vijf andere Developer Experience Engineers / Platform Engineers en heeft teamgenoten in Delft, Tilburg, Kaiserslautern, Kopenhagen en Boedapest. Met jouw team staje continu in contact met de vijftien developmentteams van TOPdesk, het operations team en ICT.
Het team is onderdeel van de afdeling Development van TOPdesk, . Development werkt internationaal samen. Naast jouw interessante en uitdagende baan als Developer Experience / Platform Engineer, is er bij TOPdesk veel ruimte voor persoonlijke ontwikkeling. Tien procent van jouw werktijd besteed je aan training en opleidingen. Je krijgt de mogelijkheid te experimenteren en specialiseren in jouw persoonlijke interesse veld.

Jij hebt 2 tot 5 jaar relevante werkervaring Jij bent gek op technisch ingewikkelde development knelpunten Je hebt interesse in het bouwen en testen van de infrastructuur Jij hebt affiniteit met programmeren en operations Jij bent sterk in communicatie en weet verandering te stimuleren Jij kijkt altijd vooruit en naar de volgende stap van de developmentafdelingJij hebt ervaring met een aantal van onderstaande zaken:
Delivery/deployment pipelines, zoals Jenkins en GitLab CI Docker en Helm Linux VM Management Configuratiemanagement tools,zoals Puppet en/of Ansible Dependencymanagement, zoals Gradle, Maven, Renovatebot, Sonatype Nexus of npm Tools voor monitoring, zoals Prometheus en Grafana
