We are now looking for a

Raw Material Procurement Manager

To join our team in Delft, Netherlands. You will be working in an international environment, responsible for setting up and driving raw material commodity strategies, processes, and decisions in the Netherlands. A team of commodity buyers will report to you, and you will collaborate with the Regional Commodity Manager and local teams at our plants. Your role covers four production sites in the Netherlands (Delft, Emmen, Nieuw Bergen, and Eindhoven) and involves direct interaction with all Prysmian business units.

Responsibilities

Strategically manage the purchase of specified raw material categories. Commodities will be defined based on your experience. Contribute to and develop executable strategies that support the overall global commodity strategy set by our HQ in Milan and our Regional Commodity Manager. Manage your team of commodity buyers – you will enable and support their performance and success. Optimize the supply base to achieve the lowest total delivered cost, ensuring continuous supply with the right quality to the factories. Find alternative solutions, handle supplier homologation, manage single source scenarios, and minimize the risk of non-deliveries. Perform analysis of suppliers and the supply base, including prices, stock levels, on-time deliveries, management of claims and non-conformities, price management in the system, and direct communication with suppliers.

Requirements

Previous experience in a responsible procurement role, with a solid understanding of procurement and category management functions, processes, and organization. Deep insights into market intelligence, purchasing strategies, cost improvement, and purchasing best practices. Strong people management skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with different stakeholders. Experience in a matrix organization is preferred. Strong knowledge of data analysis, data management, and Excel. Experience working with SAP or any other ERP system is preferred. Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent. Fluency in English.
