Description

  • You will lead the procurement function at our university, overseeing all tendering projects and contracts that are vital for the optimal performance of our institution, including acquiring research equipment, educational buildings, and facility services.
  • You will manage a team and drive a process of professionalization in procurement and contract management, focusing on inspiring leadership, team development, and performance optimization.
  • You will collaborate with your team to enhance procurement tools and processes, with a strong emphasis on automation and digitalization to align with our evolving financial system.
  • You will act as a strategic partner for academic leaders, guiding them in procurement development and policy execution.
  • You will ensure collaboration across the entire procurement chain, setting clear goals and progress indicators.

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree and a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in the public sector.
  • You have a background in coaching leadership and a preference for tendering and contract management.
  • You are proficient in digitalizing and automating procurement processes.
  • You possess strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • You have a dynamic personality and the ability to navigate complex environments to drive improvement.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical and strategic capabilities.

Conditions

  • The position is initially for 1 year with the possibility of extension.
  • You will work 32-38 hours per week.
  • Competitive salary based on scale 13 of the Dutch Universities CAO.
