Senior Data Business Analyst (Steward)

Job Description
Client is seeking an experienced Senior Data Business Analyst (Steward) to join the External Fraud area within the Tribe Financial Economic Crime (FEC). In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing, defining, and maintaining data models related to external fraud workflows. As the Data BA (Steward), you will contribute to the development of the External Fraud Workflow Management (EF WFM) platform, ensuring that data quality is maintained throughout the process. This role involves working closely with technical developers, solution architects, and business stakeholders, particularly in fraud detection and data governance.

  1. Data Model Management:

    • Coordinate the PEGA EF-WFM data model, ensuring that it accurately represents fraud-related workflows and integrates with Rabobank’s broader data architecture.
    • Maintain and update the data model as needed to reflect changing business requirements and technical improvements.
    • Act as the subject matter expert on the PEGA EF-WFM data model for all stakeholders, including business users, technical teams, and leadership.

  2. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with stakeholders from across the bank, including business units, IT teams, fraud specialists, and management, to ensure data model alignment with business needs.
    • Translate business requirements into technical data specifications, ensuring that the model supports fraud detection and operational processes.
    • Clearly communicate data model structures and governance standards to non-technical stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

  3. Data Governance & Quality:

    • Ensure that data management adheres to established data governance frameworks, including the management of Critical Data Elements (CDEs), Data Quality, Metadata, and Data Delivery Agreements (DDAs).
    • Support the integration of the Global Data Platform (GDP), ensuring that the external fraud data flows seamlessly into the broader data ecosystem.
    • Oversee the creation and management of test data to validate data integrity, support platform testing, and ensure the quality of fraud data used for analytical purposes.

  4. Platform Development Support:

    • Support the PEGA EF-WFM development team in aligning the data model with the platform’s capabilities.
    • Assist in defining the data pipeline requirements for the integration of the EF-WFM platform into Rabobank’s existing data infrastructure.
    • Provide ongoing feedback on the development of the platform to ensure it aligns with both fraud detection goals and data governance standards.

  5. Team Leadership & Coordination:

    • Lead small teams or work streams within the squad to ensure timely and effective delivery of data management objectives related to fraud workflows.
    • Facilitate collaboration between data analysts, IT developers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on data model and governance requirements.
    • Assist in setting objectives, tracking progress, and reporting on outcomes to senior management.

  6. Process Improvement & Innovation:

    • Continuously identify opportunities for improving the fraud data model, enhancing data quality, and optimizing data governance processes.
    • Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to financial crime and fraud detection.
    • Provide recommendations for future enhancements to the EF-WFM platform and data architecture.


RequirementsEducational & Professional Background:
  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years of relevant experience in banking, financial services, or a related sector, with a preference for experience in the Financial Economic Crime (FEC) domain.
Technical Skills & Experience:

  1. Data Management Expertise:

    • Hands-on experience with data models, data warehouses, and databases.
    • Proficient in SQL for querying and managing data.

  2. Tools & Platforms:

    • Familiarity with Collibra (data governance platform) for managing data governance processes.
    • Experience working with PEGA as a system platform for fraud workflows is a strong advantage.

  3. Data Governance & Frameworks:

    • Knowledge of Critical Data Elements (CDEs), Data Quality, Metadata management, and Data Delivery Agreements (DDAs).
    • Experience working with data governance frameworks and standards to ensure consistent and reliable data management practices.

  4. Agile Methodology:

    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
    • Ability to contribute to an Agile squad and deliver data-related solutions iteratively and flexibly.


Requirements
