Jouw taken
Als junior docent (Docent 4) ben je onderdeel van een docententeam dat verantwoordelijk is voor in ieder geval de eerstejaars bachelorwerkgroepen, derdejaars onderzoekspractica, de bachelorthesis en het docent-mentoraat. Daarnaast word je -afhankelijk van je profiel- ingezet bij uitvoering of ondersteuning in tweedejaars vakken, en kun je worden gevraagd om coördinatietaken in het onderwijsprogramma op je te nemen. Een afgeronde Masteropleiding in de Politicologie of een aanverwante relevante discipline Competentie om kwantitatieve onderzoeksvaardigheden te doceren op bachelorniveau Uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse taal Ambitie of ervaring als docent in het hoger onderwijs Sterke communicatieve en didactische vaardigheden Vermogen om te kunnen samenwerken in een docententeam Inzetbaar op korte termijn (bij voorkeur per direct) Wat bieden wijEen uitdagende functie bij een maatschappelijk betrokken organisatie. Het salaris bedraagt afhankelijk van opleidingsniveau en werkervaring op voltijdse basis minimaal €3.226 (schaal 10.0) en maximaal €5.090 (schaal 10.12) bruto per maand. De functie is ingedeeld volgens UFO-profiel: Docent 4 en staat open voor 0,8 fte waarvan 0,1 FTE ontwikkeltijd en 5% afdelingsparticipatie. De gewenste startdatum van de aanstelling is niet later dan 15 augustus 2024.
De arbeidsovereenkomst wordt aangegaan voor de duur van 50 maanden. Daarnaast beschikt de VU over aantrekkelijke secundaire arbeidsvoorwaarden en regelingen die een goede combinatie van werk en privé mogelijk maken, zoals:
een maximum van 41 dagen verlof per jaar op basis van voltijdse aanstelling 8% vakantietoeslag en 8,3% eindejaarsuitkering een solide pensioenregeling (ABP) en een vergoeding voor woon-werkverkeer keuzemodel voor fiscale uitruil van bepaalde arbeidsvoorwaarden Over onsBijdragen aan een betere wereld door onderscheidend onderwijs en grensverleggend onderzoek, dat is de ambitie van de VU. Faculteit der Sociale Wetenschappen
De Faculteit der Sociale Wetenschappen (FSW) kijkt vanuit meer dan één perspectief naar de grote sociale problemen van deze tijd. Van pesten op school tot hoe om te gaan met transnationale immigratie, van de opkomst van populistische politici tot het vormgeven van een zelfredzame samenleving. Alleen aan de VU vind je alle disciplines die nodig zijn om deze 'wicked problems’ te kunnen begrijpen: naast klassieke disciplines als sociologie, antropologie en politicologie ook nieuwe sociale wetenschappen als communicatiewetenschap en bestuurs- en organisatiewetenschap. In ons onderwijs en onderzoek nemen wij geen genoegen met makkelijke antwoorden. Onze wetenschappers en studenten zijn kritische denkers en doeners die samen verrassende oplossingen ontwikkelen.
Werken bij Sociale Wetenschappen is samenwerken met collega’s uit verschillende disciplines in een inspirerend en persoonlijk werk- en studieklimaat en een excellente onderzoeksomgeving. De faculteit telt ongeveer 2.500 studenten en er werken meer dan 500 medewerkers.
