Your Future Ecosystem
You’ll be part of a new management team in our highly skilled product development department. Together with our CTO, architects, RTEs, and other engineering managers, you play an important role in the efficient execution of work in our Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and in safeguarding the quality of our deliverables. The span of control for this role will encompass around 7 cross-functional teams, consisting of approximately 60 multidisciplinary developers, including specialists in Front-End, Back-End, Quality Assurance, Embedded Systems, and Hardware. In this role, you will lead the Building Automation product development group.
Between Rotterdam and The Hague, you find the greenhouse capital of the world: “Het Westland,” where our campus is located in De Lier. In these 100 square kilometers, Priva was founded in the fifties and is still a family business.
Priva started as a hardware company and transformed into an innovative software company that grew to become the global market leader in horticulture and building automation. Today we are a high-tech company that develops hardware, software, and digital services in the field of climate control, energy-saving, and optimal reuse of water. We do this for horticulture, indoor and city farming, as well as utility buildings such as offices, retail, hotels, and hospitals.
Our next step is to conquer the digital domain and become a digital service provider, selling subscriptions to "climate as a service".

First of all, you are responsible for the most important asset in our Product Development department, our people. You make sure we have the right people who can realize our ambitious vision. In addition to these people-focused responsibilities, you will oversee all aspects of design, planning, delivery, and testing within your department, ensuring that projects are executed effectively and efficiently. You will also manage the department's budget, aligning financial resources with strategic goals.
A crucial part of your role will be enabling the Vision of Priva by leading a capable product development department that drives innovation and quality. You will develop and implement a forward-looking vision for product development, positioning Priva for future success. Furthermore, you will cultivate a high-performance culture among your direct reports, fostering an environment that encourages excellence and collaboration.
