Weâre looking for a full-time External Communications Manager to join our Global Brand, Communications and Marketing team in Amsterdam.

As External Communications Manager, you will play a key role in building a protecting Signifyâs corporate reputation, with responsibility for identifying and crafting compelling stories about Signify and its global businesses as well as ensuring quality and consistency of content across our global communications network. You have a leading role to play in our purpose and strategy, working with the Head of External Communications and supporting a network of business stakeholders and communications professionals at Signify, developing and editing press releases, blogs and other content including for internal communications that supports the Signify corporate brand throughout the year and during key corporate milestones including quarterly and annual results.

What youâll do

  • Work with executives, innovation and sustainability professionals, product and business leaders in globally distributed professional and consumer businesses to identify and share impactful stories about the Signify business.

  • Create, edit, and publish content for Signify corporate channels, including press releases, blogs, and other channels.

  • Create messaging, Q&A, articles and other content for internal and external use, including our Annual Report, AGM and other strategic communications projects.

  • Support issues and crisis management, providing guidance to local communications leaders.

  • Continuously integrate best-practices, outside-in learnings into content strategy and planning.

Your qualifications

  • We are looking for someone with more than eight yearsâ experience in the Corporate Communications environment, ideally with both in-house and agency experience.

  • You know how the media works and have a keen eye for the note and newsworthy, with the ability to cut through technical detail to get to a compelling narrative.

  • You think customer-first and understand different audiences from corporate to consumer. You can identify and manage developing issues and developing effective communications responses to challenging situations.

  • You can simplify complex information to create compelling messages for different audiences.

  • Exceptional writing, editing and proof-reading skills.

  • Strong business and strategic acumen, understanding of financial markets, stock market related announcements.

  • Experience dealing with complex communications channels across multiple businesses.

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work under high pressure at the highest level.

  • Responsible and adaptable to organizational and market changes.

  • Native English speaker and writer with a strong track record in writing high-impact content.
