Job Description

This role is a unique opportunity for a multi-talent who aspires an independent field of tasks but also likes to work in a team. In this role, you are the linchpin of the "non-trading" activities within UTR8, a jack-of-all-trades who is driven to complete tasks and prioritize effectively. Someone who is not afraid to venture into unknown territory and proactively seeks information when knowledge is lacking. This person has his own responsibility and fills in the tasks within the existing frameworks to his own insights, and partly builds his own role. Someone who gets satisfaction from increasing the effectiveness and improving the efficiency and quality of business processes.

Job Profile

The financial department of UTR8 consists, in addition to this function, of an assistant finance, financial controller, Head of Finance and CFO.

As an assistant controller at UTR8, you will be given the following tasks:

-     Carry out the monthly and quarterly closures and prepare the accompanying management reports.

-     Check the bookings made by the assistant finance.

-     Carry out VAT returns, preliminary work for the CIT returns (for all countries).

-     Actively involved in improving the financial organization.

-     Prepare more complex specifications, such as for IFRS 16 (Leases).

-     Help with the consolidation of figures for the eight underlying entities.

-     Together with the F&C team, responsible for the operational part of the year end audit.

-     Ensure an effective internal control system with the associated processes and testable controls.

-     Support the financial controller and Head of Finance / CFO where necessary.

-     Preparing treasury activities, among others cash flow management and liquidity planning

-     Ensuring the effective management of talent acquisition and employee relations.

These tasks will be carried out for all our operating companies and therefore the international aspect will be strongly present in the work. To strengthen our team, we are looking for someone who is motivated and fits in this role. There are plenty of growth opportunities available.

Candidate Profile

-     You have completed a relevant HBO/WO bachelor's degree.

-     You have 2+ years of work experience in controlling, finance, or audit.

-     You have some experience with Exact Globe or a similar accounting system.

-     You are highly motivated and quickly adapt to new administrative processes.

-     You work proactively, in a structured manner, and with great attention to detail.

-     You are quality-driven, results-oriented, and communicate effectively with your team.

-     You are fluent in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

-     You thrive in a young, informal corporate culture and are sociable and adaptable.

-     You are eager to take on the challenge of working in an international environment.

-     €3,500 - €4,000 per month based on a 40-hour workweek.
