Clarksons Port Services is an international logistics service provider specializing in the offshore energy sector. Our services include ship agency, warehousing, logistics, customs support, project management, and helicopter operations for clients in the Offshore Energy domain.

Depending on your location, you will be based at our offices in Den Helder or Eemshaven. As a customs specialist, your responsibilities will involve daily import and export declaration preparation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, overseeing customs operations, ensuring legal adherence, and facilitating global transactions. This role involves collaboration with warehouse staff, transportation providers, and clients, along with close coordination with customs authorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing daily customs tasks in compliance with regulations.
  • Advising on import/export procedures and transit documents, including customs-supervised storage.
  • Engaging with clients and internal departments on daily customs operations.
  • Assisting in AEO recertification processes both internally and externally.

What we're seeking:

  • Holding a Basic Declarant certification, with a Full Declarant certification considered advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience in customs and logistics operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Strong organizational abilities and the flexibility to handle spontaneous tasks.
