ASML is a Dutch high-tech company and a leading supplier of machines for the semiconductor industry, specifically steppers and scanners used in chip manufacturing. Customers are primarily chip manufacturers. ASML's headquarters and business complex are located in Veldhoven, where research, development, and assembly take place in cleanrooms. The company also operates sixty service points across fourteen countries to support machine installation and parts delivery.

ASML was formed through a collaboration between ASM International and Royal Philips. While ASML serves customers globally, a significant portion of its clientele is based in Asia. In 2011, 66% of sales originated from the Asian region, 25% from the United States, and nearly 9% from Europe. The largest customer accounted for a quarter of the total revenue. Zeiss, a renowned manufacturer of lenses and optical components, is ASML's primary supplier, representing nearly 30% of the company's total procurement costs. Due to their shared interests, ASML and Zeiss have established a strategic alliance that can only be terminated with a three-year notice. ASML heavily invests in research and development.

The newly established Business Performance Improvement (BPI) division aims to coordinate the definition and prioritization of improvement programs at ASML, focusing on enhancing customer and business impact. The role involves overseeing end-to-end processes, necessitating a cross-functional view and optimizing value creation for customers.

We are seeking a Portfolio Officer to aid BPI Portfolio Managers in annual and quarterly processes, ensuring availability of portfolio information across sectors, conducting analyses for prioritization, and maintaining necessary procedures and tools for effective portfolio management.

  • Role and responsibilities
As a Portfolio Officer, your responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating the intake process from Sector portfolios to assess portfolio status, resource allocations, and future projections
  • Leading efforts to identify critical resource challenges impacting portfolio execution progress and facilitating decision-making proposals
  • Organizing meetings, workshops, and team sessions
  • Proactively seeking opportunities for enhancing business value and refining BPI Portfolio Management practices
  • Organizing and maintaining portfolio management documents, tracking actions and decisions
  • Contributing to enhancing the skills of the Portfolio Management community
  • Engaging in Strategy & Portfolio enhancements to optimize annual and quarterly processes
