Job Description

Rituals has a strong expansion plan and we are looking for a Construction manager who can support team International + Travel projects. This team is the flexible layer within the whole team of Construction managers with a working region that is not fixed to a certain area.

In the role of Construction Manager International + Travel, you are responsible for the successful and efficient international roll out of the construction and fit out of our stores for retail and travel-retail locations. You will be part of the Format & Design team based in Amsterdam and report to Head of Construction team International & Travel

As an International Construction Manager, You:

  • Start up new stores; prepare and create a survey reports and approve the suitability of potential locations, both financially as technical.
  • Survey new locations in new countries and airports
  • Manage construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate and oversee construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Manage external parties/suppliers. Collaborate with architects, landlords, franchise partners etc, to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Prepare progress reports and keep stakeholders informed about project status.
  • Are responsible for hand over of stores to retail and deliver a hand over report.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Proven experience as a construction manager. Minimal 5 years in a project managers's role preferable in fast-moving retail
  • Understanding of the total project life cycle, from dealing with (new) contractors and partners, through all of the operational stages.
  • Bachelors' degree, skills verbal and written English and preferable other languages
  • Ability to travel as to various locations internationally, sometimes on short notice
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to build and maintain relationships with team members and external partners.
