IT Program Manager - Commerce and Marketing (Fulltime/parttime, 32-38 hours per week)

We are looking for an experienced IT Program Manager specialized in Commerce & Marketing. Someone who can maintain tactical overview, create value for stakeholders, and link it to a keen eye for details. We need a practical, hands-on individual who enjoys taking the lead in a challenging environment with ample opportunities for further development.

Your Daily Responsibilities

As the IT Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing Technology in delivering new technological capabilities for Commerce & Marketing. You will work for IT and collaborate closely with Commerce & Marketing and Technology partners on setting up, managing, and successfully delivering your programs. Formally, you will report to the executive management of Steerco. Due to Action's dynamic nature, it is crucial that you proactively manage risks and capitalize on opportunities to ensure agreed objectives remain on track.
In addition to your role as IT Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering the project portfolio of Commerce & Marketing - Technology. This portfolio is dynamic and includes all projects and initiatives in their various execution phases. The goal is to deliver this integrated portfolio according to agreed priorities and commitments, as predictably as possible, with a focus on interproject dependencies, timely initiation, and ensuring successful end-to-end project delivery. In this role, you will formally report to the Technology Portfolio Manager and the head of Commerce & Marketing - Technology.
You will be part of the IT Projects & Portfolio team and report to the head of IT Projects & Portfolio.

Our IT department adds value with specialized horizontal/functional teams for Business Domains (e.g., Commerce & Marketing), a Development & Operations team to manage shared technological services, and a team for Data Analytics & Business Insights. There are also supporting teams for Projects & Portfolio Management, Architecture, and Security. Over 500 people work daily in and for Technology, most of whom are involved in change. As an IT Program Manager, you are analytically strong, creative, and adept at project management. You are service-oriented, proactive, and no-nonsense. You are communicative and can collaborate effectively at various (international) levels within the organization. You also have a clear vision and know how to implement it. A positive and proactive view of change and innovation is essential. Our formula with a surprisingly complete range at competitive prices also requires an entrepreneurial, critical, and pragmatic attitude with a high cost-consciousness.

And furthermore:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an IT Program Manager with a good track record
  • Proficient in traditional (Prince 2) and agile (Scrum) methodologies
  • Experience in managing and delivering project portfolios is a plus
  • Experience in the Commerce & Marketing/Retail sector is mandatory
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English (both orally and in writing)
