**Wat ga je doen?**:
1. Bouwt operationele netwerken op en voert operaties uit o.a. door het:

- uitvoeren van onderzoek naar potentiële bronnen voor wat betreft geschiktheid, benaderbaarheid en betrouwbaarheid;
- in Nederland en buitenland onder dekmantel opbouwen van een vertrouwensrelatie met potentiële bronnen;
- rekruteren en runnen van (potentiële) bronnen en hierbij inspelen op onverwachte situaties;
- produceren van operatie en informatierapportages;
- afstemmen van de operationele activiteiten op de actuele informatiebehoefte.

2. Draagt bij aan het opstellen van plannen voor operationele verzamelactiviteiten, waarbij covers kunnen worden toegepast o.a. door het:

- opstellen van behoeftestellingen met betrekking tot de inzet van operationeel ondersteunende middelen;
- inschatten en aangeven van operationele (afbreuk)risico's.

3. Draagt bij aan de inhoudelijke kwaliteit van de producten van de afdeling, o.a. door het:

- mede evalueren van (zelf) uitgevoerde operaties en onderkennen van mogelijkheden voor het verbeteren van de modus operandi;
- het geven van instructie en optreden als vraagbaak voor de junior collega's en operationeel medewerkers van de afdeling;
4. Draagt bij aan afdeling brede projecten.

Kennis, inzicht en vaardigheden
- Kennis van het Nederlandse Defensie
- en Veiligheidsbeleid, van daarvoor van belang zijnde internationale ontwikkelingen, de organisatie en werkwijze van het Ministerie van Defensie en de krijgsmacht, van de taakstelling van de krijgsmacht in het algemeen en de inzet van de krijgsmacht in het kader van veiligheidsoperaties en de positie van de MIVD in dat verband;
- kennis van vigerende wet
- en regelgeving, met name Wiv 2017 (gewenst);
- kennis van taakstelling, structuur en werkwijze van inlichtingen
- en veiligheidsdiensten in Nederland en van de afdeling zelf in het bijzonder (gewenst);
- kennis van het (contra-) inlichtingenproces en gerelateerde aandachtsgebied (gewenst);
- van planprocessen;
- kennis van het deelvakgebied HUMINT, in het bijzonder strategische HUMINT-operaties in het buitenland, (de)briefen, agentenoperaties;
- kennis van digitale en operationele communicatiemiddelen en mogelijkheden (gewenst).

Kennis/Opleidingseisen
- HBO opleiding of gelijkwaardig werk
- en denkniveau;
- Volledig afgeronde functie specifieke opleiding (strekt tot aanbeveling);
- Kennis van de Engelse taal;
- Kennis van niet-Westerse talen,
- Rijbewijs B.

Ervaringseisen
- Ervaring in betreffende of andere disciplines binnen het domein Inlichtingen & Veiligheid (gewenst);
- Ervaring met werken of wonen in het buitenland (gewenst).

Overige opmerkingen:

- voor de functie geldt een AOPS specifieke selectieprocedure;
- voorwaarde voor definitieve plaatsing is afgifte van een VGB A en het met positief resultaat volgen van de functie specifieke opleidingen of cursussen;
- functionaris moet bereid zijn aanvullende opleidingen of cursussen te volgen;
- functionaris moet bereid zijn om te rouleren over diverse operationele en operationeel ondersteunende rollen;
- functionaris kan door de aard van de werkzaamheden beperkingen in zijn persoonlijke levenssfeer ondervinden;
- functionaris wordt voor operationele doeleinden buiten normale kantoortijden en voor langere duur (ook in het buitenland) ingezet;

**Overige arbeidsvoorwaarden**:
Bovenop het salaris en vakantiegeld kun je rekenen op een dertiende maand van 8,33%. Het Ministerie van Defensie hecht sterk aan persoonlijke groei en loopbaanontwikkeling en biedt daarvoor tal van mogelijkheden. Tot de secundaire arbeidsvoorwaarden behoren onder meer betaald ouderschapsverlof (onder voorwaarden), studiefaciliteiten, een extra verlofregeling voor ouderen en een vergoeding woon-werkverkeer.
