With the Agile Release Train (ART) Materials Management, you manage the development and deployment of solutions towards the business, to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
In the role of Chief Product Owner, you are part of the Product Owner team, and you report to the Head of Product Owners.
The Product Owner team is part of the Strategy & Improvement department, that develops solutioning for the Planning & Delivery and Source & Procure domain. Each (Chief-) product owner takes responsibility of a specific domain or competence.
The solutions that are delivered by the Agile Release Train focus on process and tooling improvements, enabling ASML to increase efficiency, performance and productivity.
Together with your stakeholders in business and IT, you help to define the priorities and product roadmap for materials management. Within the SAFe Agile framework, you ensure that solutions are delivered through quarterly increments and bi-weekly sprints.
Role and Responsibilities
As the Chief Product Owner Materials Management, you are the interface between Business and IT:
- You are the business partner for delivery operations and other sectors covering warehousing, freight, customs, intercompany order fulfillment and return flow management
- You drive execution within the Agile Release Train, in close collaboration with the Release Train Engineer, Architects and Product Owners.
In your role as business partner for the delivery operations domain, you understand and translate the business requirements into solutions that add business value. You are closely connected to the business, and closely manage your stakeholders to understand the challenges, and to collaborate towards a joint improvement roadmap for the delivery operations domain.
Within the ART, you lead multiple scrum teams that carry specific competence for the domain. These scrum teams are responsible for development, deployment and operational support of these solutions. Your task is to prioritize and refine the work for these scrum teams, and deliver high quality processes and tools for the business. You execute based on an agreed improvement roadmap, that is aligned with the business BPO’s and business architects.
To ensure continuity, you take functional responsibility for the solution, this means you:
- Define the product vision by research and analysis of the market and stakeholders requirements and develop the roadmap for the product, align with stakeholders, and ensure execution.
- Align materials management processes and methods x-sector, with interfaces across Plan & Deliver, Source & Procure, Manufacturing and Customer Support
- Build an active relationship with your stakeholders, to understand business needs and plan the work based on business priorities.
- Maintain the ART’s backlog, set priorities for the ART in line with business expectations.
- Actively participate in the relevant Agile/scrum rituals
- Pro-actively look for potential improvements and prepare these for evaluation by the ART/team or competence
Education and experience
- Bachelor or master’s degree, 10+ years relevant work experiences in a large international company (industry or consultancy), ideally Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations or Customer Support background
- Experience with SAP ECC and knowledge of business complexity
- Experience in a high tech low-volume environment
- Experience as (Chief-)Product Owner in an agile environment is a pre
