Introduction

The Customer Support (CS) group is responsible for servicing ASML customers worldwide through more than 60 field offices. CS Field operations include install, relocations, upgrades, maintenance, repair, application support and continuous improvement of ASML systems at customer locations worldwide.

Within CS there is a special focus on Quality and Excellence supporting customers and ASML field operations

We are looking for a CS Project Lead focusing on improving our Quality and Excellence performance through participation with field, customer and business teams, creation and demonstration of improved practices and activation of solutions. To ensure solutions are sustainable it will be the task of the CS Project Lead to support process creation, documentation, approval with appropriate system support and testing.

Job Mission

As CS Project Lead you will be responsible to work with a CS Project/Program Manager to drive Quality and Excellence into all CS worldwide processes. Part of this mission is to make sure we capture our best practices and develop new solutions to improve our working practices and ensure these improvements are deployed worldwide, including new sites. By driving this, the program leads plays a significant role in the ability of ASML to act right first time, creating value towards customers and drive cost avoidance within ASML.

Job Description

  • Capture business needs from Customer Team representatives, CS Field operations, CS Segments as well as CS Quality and Excellence focus areas to define and implement structural improvement projects:
    • Participation with field and business teams to define measurable improvement needs and quantifiable benefits.
    • Data acquisition and interpretation
    • Reporting of business performance
    • Gap analysis and definition of improvement opportunities.
    • Define project structure
    • Support resource allocation for execution
    • Regular review of project/program activities during execution – steering.
    • Deployment of improvements worldwide or selected locations
    • Training of CS teams to ensure performance capability
    • Documentation of improvement processes, practices with the aim to ensure sustainability of solutions

  • Support management team activities to trigger improvement initiatives for Quality and Excellence processes with structural challenges and team up to build solutions for these challenges
  • Periodically report the Process quality status (KPI’s, audits, quality notifications), including proposals to get on track when actual performance deviates from target
  • Support building a worldwide process community linked to the CS worldwide lean and customer care teams
  • Support the CS Management Team (Worldwide) towards processes excellence
  • Support periodic audits. Deliver audit reports and support report out to management. Influence stakeholders at management and operational level to close quality gaps;
  • Identify product and process quality risks and support quality audits as auditor. Inspect documentation and quality records

Education

Bachelor degree in Process Management, Quality Management, Engineering, Science or Business Administration.

Experience

  • Experience in high tech industry;
  • Demonstrable experience with initiating and deploying quality change management programs. Involving both business management or quality communities;
  • > 5 years’ experience in various of the following fields: operational excellence, quality, process management
  • Expertise and experience with Lean Six Sigma, quality methods and tools;
  • Knowledgeable in Quality Standards;
  • Experienced in project or program management and process improvement;
  • Good knowledge of business process requirements and system requirements.

Personal Skills:

  • Independent thinker, with demonstrated good judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Strong communication skills, good listener, with the ability to present information verbally and in written format;
  • Good stakeholder management skills and able to work across all levels of the organization including customers with an open attitude;
