The Department & Team

The Technical Development team at Tommy Hilfiger is where innovation meets sustainability in the world of fashion. We are the driving force behind the creation and delivery of cutting-edge and eco-friendly products for the iconic Tommy Hilfiger brand. Our team is responsible for the complete technical development journey, transforming initial concepts into outstanding physical garments. With a steadfast commitment to high quality and product excellence, we ensure that every piece not only meets but exceeds company and divisional KPIs.

In our dynamic role, we collaborate closely with a diverse array of stakeholders, including Product Development (PD), design, merchandising, and global teams. Our seamless partnerships enable us to infuse the unique Tommy Hilfiger brand DNA into every collection, making a significant impact on the runway and beyond. The Position

As a key player in the technical development of apparel, you will focus on collaborations and runway collections. You will work on exciting confidential projects and collaborations across Menswear and Womenswear, Knits and Woven product. With your expertise, you'll manage our block libraries and lead the creation of new seasonal silhouettes across a global supply base.

Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, and product development to transform sketches into standout collections. By understanding market trends and consumer needs, you'll help shape the future of fashion, ensuring timely delivery of innovative designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research & development
  • Responsible for participating in fit meetings including capturing comments, changes & communicating these internally and externally.
  • Information maintenance/data integrity: ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
  • Adhere to critical path, both internally and externally to support the development and production of the collection achieving on time for delivery at all stages of the process
  • Liaising with PVH overseas offices and collaborating with sourcing, Central Quality Assurance regarding any quality issues
  • Ad hoc tasks such as sample organizing, meeting preparation, analysis, and reporting

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5 years of experience in technical development
  • A bachelor/ master's degree in fashion, garment technology, pattern cutting or equivalent experience in fashion, clothing or textiles industry
  • Product knowledge of apparel (Knits and Wovens, menswear and womenswear, including pattern cutting and technical construction
  • Understanding of the following software is advantageous: PLM, Gerber or equivalent
  • Effective communication skills: inclusive team player, interdepartmental collaboration
  • Ability to solve straight forward problems following standard procedures
  • Able to work in a highly productive, fast paced environment with a hands-on approach
  • High data integrity
  • Self-driven, pragmatic, and business mind set

  • Good command of written & spoken English as it is the working language of our business
