Behaviour Interactive is currently seeking a skilled Technical Director to join our team and contribute to one of our projects on Unreal. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful delivery of our new game by effectively managing technical risks and opportunities. You will play a crucial role in making key design, architecture, and implementation decisions in collaboration with the production team.

In this role you will:
  • Steer and guide the technological ship for the project, and the teams involved;
  • Make high-level design and architecture choices;
  • Dictate technical standards, and guide the development team;
  • Define the technological strategy with the development team;
  • Assess the technical risks and mitigation plans;
  • Select the appropriate technologies given the project's constraints;
  • Harness others' technical expertise to get the best possible solutions;
  • Interview candidates for technical positions;
  • Work closely with other producers, directors, leads, and developers to support project and company strategies.
What we are looking for:
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role within the gaming industry, demonstrating success in delivering game project;
  • Experience working with Unreal game engine;
  • Experience working with Mobile games, especially on Android platform;
  • In-depth knowledge of game development methodologies, design patterns, and industry best practices;
  • Strong decision-making abilities to drive technical innovation;
  • Experience in risk management and problem-solving in a fast-paced, dynamic gaming environment.
  • Ability to self-organize and work very autonomously;
  • Ability to cooperate and consult with other directors, leads, and staff;
  • Ability to communicate well. Must be able to vulgarize technical concepts for both a technical and non-technical audience;
  • Ability to define and break down complex technical mandates and architectures.
Dans ce rôle, vous devrez :
  • Diriger et guider la vision technologique du projet et des équipes impliquées;
  • Prendre des décisions de conception et d'architecture de haut niveau;
  • Dicter les normes techniques et guide l'équipe de développement;
  • Définir la stratégie technologique avec l'équipe de développement;
  • Évaluer les risques techniques et les plans d'atténuation;
  • Choisir les technologies appropriées considérant les contraintes du projet;
  • Exploiter l'expertise technique des autres pour obtenir les meilleures solutions possibles;
  • Participer au mentorat et au développement de compétences des équipes;
  • Passer en entrevue des candidat·e·s aux postes techniques;
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec d'autres membres de l'équipe de direction, responsables et membres de l'équipe technique pour soutenir les stratégies de projet et d'entreprise;
Ce que nous recherchons :
  • Expérience antérieure dans un rôle de direction technique au sein de l'industrie du jeu vidéo, et avoir démontré du succès dans la réalisation de jeux;
  • Expérience antérieure avec le moteur de jeu Unreal;
  • Expérience antérieure avec la réalisation de jeux mobiles, particulièrement sur la plateforme Android;
  • Connaissance approfondie des méthodologies de développement de jeux, des modèles de conception et des meilleures pratiques dans l'industrie;
  • Excellente capacité de prise de décision dans l'effort de stimuler l'innovation technique;
  • Expérience dans la gestion des risques et la résolution de problèmes dans un environnement de jeu;
  • Capacité à collaborer et consulter d'autres directeurs et gestionnaires de la production;
  • Capacité à vulgariser des concepts techniques pour une audience technique et non technique;
  • Capacité à définir et structurer des mandats et architectures techniques complexes.

Behaviour Interactive est à la recherche d'un·e Directeur·trice technique pour rejoindre l'équipe et contribuer sur un nouveau projet excitant, sur Unreal. Dans ce rôle, votre principale responsabilité sera d'assurer la livraison réussie de notre nouveau projet en gérant efficacement les risques et opportunités techniques liés au projet. Vous jouerez un rôle crucial dans la prise de décisions clés en matière de conception, d'architecture et de mise en oeuvre, en collaboration avec l'équipe de production.
