As Area Sales Manager Netherlands you play a crucial role within the commercial team. You will be responsible for selling electric motors in the Netherlands. You develop sales strategies and develop them yourself with both existing and new customers, with the aim of improving turnover and profitability. The customers are on the one hand dealers (trade & repair) and on the other hand OEMs within the oil & gas industry and naval/shipping.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for selling electric motors in the Netherlands.
- Develop sales strategies with both existing and new customers
- The customers are dealers (trade & repair) and OEMs within the oil & gas industry and naval/shipping.
- Work with multiple internal departments such as manufacturing, engineering, customer service, logistics, finance, planning and purchasing, as well as external suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of products and an optimal customer experience.
- Closely follow trends and market developments, providing input regarding new products and/or product improvement opportunities.
- Stay in daily contact with customers/relations, knowing how to develop a lasting relationship with them by providing professional advice and (technical) expertise regarding the solutions that the company can offer.
- Being able to ‘challenge’ the customer vision, in the interest of the best solution for the customer.
Requirements:
- MUST: HBO diploma (technical or commercial in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering)
- MUST: 5+ years of Sales experience in a technical-commercial environment
- Experience with, for example, crane technology, hoisting and lifting technology, general industry, maritime industry and/or offshore industry is a big plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience working in a company that manufactures or sells Electric Motors.
- Language skills: Native Dutch and Fluent English.
