Role description
Prometeon Tyre Group is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join our Sales team in Netherlands. The selected candidate will work under the direction of France and Benelux cluster. This role requires extensive travel throughout the assigned region, with an expectation of 70%-80% travel time, and the ability to work from a home office.
In the initial period, the Regional Sales Manager will report to the current Country Sales Manager, who is planning to retire soon. Afterwards, the Regional Sales Manager will take full responsibility for Country Sales.
Role Expectations:
- Lead sales of all commercial products (TBR, Agro, and OTR) to Servicing Dealers, Key Fleets, and Wholesale accounts.
- Manage Account Set Up, Solicitation, Credit Monitoring, and Inventory Management to expand PTG’s distribution footprint in the assigned region.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of industry pricing structures for Servicing Dealers (including structure, tiers, and pay-out criteria of a Servicing Dealer Sales and Marketing Program), Key Fleets (structure and values the Account Program), and Wholesalers.
- Maintain direct relationships with decision-making personnel within Servicing Dealers, Key Fleets, and Wholesale accounts in the assigned region.
- Ability to manage a multichannel approach: wholesalers, dealers and fleets.
- Develop new sales channels in accordance with the Go to Market strategy of the company.
Sales of top-tier commercial tires require technical knowledge to support a value-based selling proposition for both Servicing Dealers and Key Fleets.
The Regional Sales Manager will keep Group Management informed of changing market conditions and act as the key market representative in internal product discussions
Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed the Management Plan sales targets for the assigned region.
- Solicit and sell Group products, starting with TBR Tires and expanding to Agro and OTR.
- Grow PTG’s distribution network in the assigned region.
- Full responsibility of the customers assigned
- Develop the customer base according to the strategic go to market
- Act as a technical sales representative for key fleets, demonstrating the Total Cost of Ownership of our products.
- Track the performance of our products as well as key competitors’ products.
- Manage the sales and marketing program for customers in the assigned region.
- Monitor customer credit and payment history, working with the credit team to ensure customer accounts are current.
Requirements:
- Degree from an accredited university/college or extensive previous commercial tire sales experience.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, disciplined, organized, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literate with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in commercial (truck and industrial) tire sales in the replacement channel is essential.
- Ability to travel 70%-80% of the time. Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of Dutch and English is required.
