In this role you are able to use your influential skills to drive the change, balancing decisiveness and applying flexibility where needed.

IT Architecture Mission
ASML leads the worldwide development, production and sales of high-end lithography systems for the semiconductor industry. In short, we make the machines that make computer chips, or integrated circuits. We build some of the most amazing, complex machines that you will ever see – and the software to run them – to develop smaller, faster and still more affordable chips. It is because of our machines that the world’s technology has steadily evolved.

Architecture within Sector IT provides the framework and direction for Solution delivery, The Target Architecture plots the dot at the horizon and the Incremental System Architectures describe the step to the next plateau that will be accomplished.

Job Mission

You will be part of the Core IT End User Services group. As a Domain Architect you create and maintain the vision for the Workplace of the Future with ASML,  and continuous prepare and adopt for future changes in workforce patterns and technology capabilities. In this role you will define the next steps that are needed for the Digital Workplace solutions that are optimized according to the requirements of the various user communities. Building a governance structure together with other members of the Leading Coalition and the many stakeholders within the Digital Workplace domain on consolidating the Digital Workplace solutions into the bigger plan.

Job Description

As Domain Architect you interact with the business to understand current and future needs, next to translate that into Digital Workplace vision and blueprint, and come to agreement and adoption with the business. You will manage your stakeholders by aligning on architectural challenges and choices made to address these. You need to be one top of the initiatives around Digital Workplace and therefore strong collaboration with your peers and stakeholders is key

You are responsible for making sure that the company’s business strategy uses proper technology systems architecture to achieve its goals. Technologically this role will focus on Virtual Desktop Infrastructures and physical user computing platforms, next to collaboration, software distribution, VR/AR, mobile access, AV equipment, user support, etc.

All this you take on together with the 3 System Architect that represent the 3 ART’s that contribute to the (holistic) domain of the Digital Workplace.
 

In short:

  • Provides a vision on the Digital Workplace within ASML;
  • Define the roadmap to migrate the different Digital Workplace platforms to the target state, including transitional plateaus and conditions for success;
  • Defines IT technology and infrastructure goals, strategy and roadmap. Manages strategy deployment process  as well as definition of and alignment on key improvement areas;
  • Defines business impact of security incidents and identifies and drives recommendations for change to prevent similar incidents.

Experience

As an IT architect you are both technically minded as well equipped to both manage and steer your business- and IT stakeholders. As you will be managing the linkage between strategy and execution, it is key to be able to facilitate collaboration across our network. Being a good story teller definitely helps influencing (without power) your stakeholders and will build the desired bridges to become successful in this role.

You possess the following skillset:

  • You have a keen, analytical mind, are able to influence without power and are able to articulate your story line, tuning this to your variety of stakeholders.
  • More than 10 years in IT Architecture in a large scale Information Technology Environment;
  • Skilled in refactoring and modernizing Digital Workplace Architecture and services;
  • Profound knowledge of modern IT Infrastructures, including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure solution delivery;
  • Familiar with TOGAF framework and Archimate business modelling;
  • Experience in working in a SAFe / Agile delivery framework;
  • MSc. Education in IT, Information Management, Computer Science or relevant study.
