Avantor is looking for an Account Manager Inside Sales – Industrial & Governmental (f/m/d) to join our team in Amsterdam In this role, you are responsible for your customer portfolio in the region South. The successful candidate will be the driving force behind the continued health and growth of our customer relationships, and as such will be given the autonomy to use their own experience and initiative to determine an effective approach towards reaching our targets as a business. Then we look forward to your application Working hours: Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00, hybrid model with two days at the office per week. Occasional customer site visits in the South of Netherlands.How you will thrive and create an impact Assess our existing customer relationships and develop a sales plan to expand our business. Proactively identify sales opportunities within existing contacts and fresh leads and contact customers via phone or MS Teams. Align with the Director of Sales and the Sales Team on goals and ensure we hit key metrics and targets. Promote our digital solutions such as the Avantor webshop and digital quotation options. When requested, visit customer laboratories and conduct sales conversations with end users and buyers. Prepare and present quotations to customers and oversee contract implementations. Support the Product Specialists and the Key Account Managers with sales execution. Keep the CRM system up-to-date and accurately report sales metrics (conversion rates, new business generated, revenue, etc). You take the initiative for commercial agreements and ensure the necessary follow-up. What you'll bring Education: Completed University Degree in Science or relevant work experience within life sciences and a good understanding of laboratory products & processes Experience: Experience with Sales, Account Management, Customer Service, or similar in a B2B setting is a preference but not a must Good understanding of laboratory products and processes You have commercial flair, are communicative, proactive, customer-oriented and know how to build bridges between different departments Business fluency in Dutch and English Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, particularly with Excel Experience working with a CRM would be an asset (we use SAP C4C) Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator would be a plus This role is offered on a full-time, one-year contract basis that can be extended to a permanent contract after mutual agreement.
