Position Title: Commercial Manager – Franchise Operations

Your Role

The Commercial Manager works closely with all cross-functional team members and the Franchise partners to deliver the Brand Strategy and maximize in-market localization across all three brands: VS Intimates, VS Beauty, and Pink. Additionally, they are expected to identify commercial opportunities to grow the business and develop cross-functional solutions to address them. The focus will be heavily distorted to 0-6 months out from execution.

Your Impact

Pre-season

  • Partner with VSI Brand team on development of quarterly Brand strategies
  • Lead communicating and orchestrating the localization of Brand Strategies with Franchise partners (with support of Regional Leader)
  • Coordinate completion of the floorset priorities / placemat with partner (highlighting key activations) and share back to VSI Brand team
  • Ensure cohesiveness across all elements/functions of the Brand Strategy
  • Participate in bi-annual Business Planning Meetings in partnership with Regional Director and MP&A to align on Brand distortions over next 6-24 months sales plans
  • Represent regional point-of-view on assortment tiering decisions owned by MP&A

In-season

  • Provide regional feedback on Brand Strategy / floorset performance and execution (in partnership with other regional team members)
  • Share key insights across regions to expedite the transfer of knowledge and adoption of best practices across all partners
  • Ensure product availability by leveraging reporting and collaborating with VSI Deployment team
  • Lead synthesis of regional Brand Strategy hindsights

Ongoing

  • Lead competitive insights from key competitor assessments to informing VSG Merchandising team on competitor launches, pricing, etc.
  • Support Regional Director with customer research initiatives and conduct customer intercepts during market visits
  • Coordinate new store opening strategies across functions (inventory, marketing, GWPs, etc.)
  • Lead pricing review with partners to ensure proper competitive positioning, margin rates, and brand architecture
  • Be direct point person for Franchise partner Merch/MP&A
  • Be Regional team leader for all product-initiatives
  • Be knowledge about VSI Merchandising, Planning and Allocation strategies
  • Validate data accuracy with partners in partnership with Business Operations

Your Experience

  • Desire to "connect the dots" across all functional teams to ensure a cohesive execution and localization of the Brand Strategy
  • Ability to build a network of relationships with cross-functional partners across VSI and franchise partners
  • Ability to identify commercial opportunities to grow the business and develop cross-functional solutions to address them
  • Passion for retail and to fully understand a market - its customers, competition, and associates
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Desire to define a path that has not been paved (proactive, entrepreneurial mindset)
  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent Excel skills, and relevant knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Micro Strategy.
  • International experience a plus
  • International travel up to 30% a year
