**Introduction**
Since the beginning of 2017, the foundation was laid to create a pull for Lean principles within the EF (Extreme Ultra-Violet Factory) organization.
The EF staff embraced the concepts of Hoshin Kanri, daily management and structured problem solving supported by Lean leadership behavior.
The Lean team drives and supports the EF organization in becoming operational excellent as a means to realize the EF business goals. The Lean change agent is responsible for all Lean deployment aspects within EF Install part of the value stream.
**Job Mission**
Lean change agent is co-responsible and supports teams (all associates) and leaders (managers, group and team leaders) in cultural Lean change transformation. He/she guides the organization through implementing the daily management system, coaches associates in developing problem solving techniques and Lean leaders’ behavior. As a Lean Change Agent, you are expected to respectfully challenge the status quo and act as a role model for Lean thinking.
The Lean change agent reports to the Manager Lean within the Organizational Excellence department of the EUV Factory.
The main responsibilities of the Lean change agent are:
Driving the business performance impact by accelerating effectiveness and efficiency within breakthrough and major improvement initiatives (Improvement Kata, Kaizens, A3’s, 4C’s, PDCA rapid experimentation).
Developing the Lean and Organizational Excellence capabilities of the organization (training, coaching, challenge on Lean principles and being a catalyst in driving the change).
The position also requires experience in both project & change management skills. (i.e., event planning, execution & follow up). The holder of this position also contributes to ASML’s System of Mastering Lean by improving the Lean standards used within the EF Lean team and ASML.
In alignment with the accountable breakthrough or improvement project leader, Lean change agent will:
- Be co-responsible for the results of the improvement
- Secure connection between Impact and Efforts
- Ensure regular cadence of the initiative Natural Team activities
- Help to see the reality (Current Condition)
- Help to identify and overcome Obstacles on the way
- Intervene, when necessary, coach and guide
As a Lean team member, Lean change agent will:
- Share knowledge and learn within the team about deployment progress, bottlenecks and help requests
- Supports your colleagues pro-actively in the deployment or building each other’s expertise
- Contribute to improvements to the ASML Lean standards
- Challenge your colleagues adapting the Lean principles in our own team
- Improve our daily operations and participates in strategic steps
- Be partner towards the business in driving for Lean improvements
**Context of the position**
EUV Install organization consists of EF Install and UIR (Upgrade, Install and Relocation) Customer Services parts in the center and regions.
The current EF Lean team supports all parts of EF Factory (NXE and EXE Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning & Logistics, Install) and is an enthusiastic team with diverse career backgrounds. What the Lean change agents have in common is the drive and passion for helping others in becoming a Lean organization. We would like to have a new colleague who can add value to the team with his of hers experience with Lean implementation, improvement projects management, change management. Although we have mixed talents and different ways to come to excellence, we share the same values: “we challenge, we collaborate, we care” within ASML.
**Education**
bachelor’s or master’s degree
**Experience**
- 5-10 years of experience in Lean deployment and improvement projects management is a pre-requisite.
- Additional relevant experience with continuous improvement methods, problem solving, six-sigma and change management is required.
- Fundamental knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles
- Experience with managing change on culture and leadership programs
- Facilitation, training & coaching
- Background in operational / manufacturing environment is also necessary
- Fluent in English is a must.
