PathoFinder, founded in 2004, is a molecular diagnostics scale-up company based in Maastricht. The company develops and commercializes innovative molecular diagnostic tests for comprehensive detection of a wide variety of infectious disease pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2. PathoFinder's proprietary 2SmartFinder® technology enables the detection and differentiation of up to 24 viral, bacterial, fungal and parasitic pathogens in a single assay.

PathoNostics, founded in 2011, is PathoFinder’s sister company and is focusing on the development and manufacturing of real-time PCR assays for fungal diagnostics. Our mission is to rapidly detect the disease-causing fungus and simultaneously identify antifungal resistance, allowing clinicians to initiate a dedicated and timely therapy and save on costs and lives. Both PathoFinder and Pathonostics are ISO13485 certified, and all products comply with CE-IVD guidelines.

**Job description**

PathoFinder and PathoNostics will grow significantly in the coming years. And therefore we are expanding our commercial team with a Marketing and Sales Assistant position. Working at PathoFinder/PathoNostics means working together in a young, dynamic, flexible and driven team.

Join our commercial team at PathoFinder/PathoNostics and play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations. As a Marketing and Sales Assistant, you will be involved in key areas, including handling and responding to sales inquiries, event and conference management, communications support, supporting our order handling department, and providing general office support.

**Your tasks will include**
- **Handling & Responding to Sales Inquiries**: You support the Distributor Channel Manager and Benelux Account Manager to effectively manage and respond to sales inquiries, ensuring a seamless process for potential clients. From providing basic product information to swiftly making quotes, you do everything to onboard new clients.
- **Event and Conference Management & Activation**:You support the marketing team by coordination and executing events and conferences to enhance brand presence and engage with the target audience. Your activities include but are not limited to conference planning, venue booking, shipping and logistics, hotel accommodations and flight bookings.
- **Communications Support**: Assist in various communication activities to ensure a consistent and impactful message to clients and partners. You make sure that our marketing materials are up to date and always available and support the marketing manager with our communication activities.
- **Supporting Our Order Handling**: Provide support to our order handling, contributing to the efficient processing of orders and ensuring customer satisfaction. Twice a week you support our order handling team in preparing and shipping orders to our clients and distributors.
- **General Office Support**: Contribute to day-to-day office operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the commercial team. This includes answering incoming phone calls, collecting incoming shipments and support of the finance team when requested.

**Personal Qualities**
- Extremely organized and structured, with the ability to manage daily tasks and workflow independently.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- A can-do attitude and enthusiasm for working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Base financial understanding for relevant aspects of sales and marketing activities.
- MBO (administrative) level of education.
