**Major Purpose**:
**Major Responsibilities**:
General:

- Act as primary lead or regional support for Compliance activities for Grainger businesses in Europe and Asia.
- Stay current in EU & US trade, customs, privacy and anti-corruption laws and regulations as well as in Grainger global compliance standards.
- Create/maintain/update identfied compliance policies and procedures and ensure integration in the organization.
- Perform assessments on a regular basis and report compliance testing activity results/findings for impact.
- Provide updates to senior management of new developments and potential riks/liabilities, including obtaining information annually from internal stakeholders on business and/or organizational changes as well as importation of new product lines.
- Establish, monitor and deliver sesults against KPI's. Establish annual compliance goals. Implement and drive company-wide compliance process improvements.

Privacy:

- Drive the creation and execution of Grainger's global data privacy program in the EU in collaboration with corporate Privacy Office.
- Participate in the negotiation of data protection provisions with third parties including assessing any international data processing agreements with the Legal department and Grainger's Manager of Data Privacy, to ensure all relevant privacy issues have been addressed prior to commencement of data processing.
- Provide training to all levels within the organization on data.
- Assist in the completion od data privacy questionnaires.
- Inventory the data that requires additional controls.
- Partner eith IT to monitor the progress of any security feature implementations.
- Keep abreast of the latest regulatory changes and implement changes as needed.

Global Trade Compliance:

- Act as the primary lead for Global Trade Compliance activities for other GRainger businesses in Europe and Asia.
- Design in collaboration with key stakeholders import/export solutions that meet both business and compliance requirements.
- Monitor processes impacted bij trade regulations to determine compliance weakness and initiate process changes.
- Review denied party screening referrals and alerts.
- Lead Global Trade Compliance M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration.

Third Party risk management:

- Implement and execute strategies to assess and manage risk associated with doing business with vendor third parties.
- Act as key stakeholder in the third party due diligence process, including initial and on-going assessment of vendors and strategic business partners, and monitoring additional sources of information to identify risk factors.
- Support the deployment of changes to the Third Party Risk policy and procedures.

Anti Bribery Anti Corruption:

- Escalate to Legal bribery and corruption issues linked to customers, transactions, and other parties.
- Partner with Legal on the management and continuous improvement of tha global Anti-Bribery/Anti-Corruption (ABC) Compliance program in the EU and APAC regions.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor Degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field. Masters, MBA, JD/LL.M or other advanced certification preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating with suppliers, employees and leadership.
- 5-7 years experience in import/export compliance & documentation, import/export global operations and international supply chain logistics or related field.
- 5-7 years experience in import/export laws and regulations, working with internal and external legal counsel.
- Broad knowledge of EU and US international trade and trends, customs and anticorruption laws.
- Broad knowledge of data privacy regulations specific to region.
- Demonstrated leadership skills ans ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Organizational effectiveness across the corporation.
- Proven ability to adapt and multi-task in a rapidly changing environment.
- Analytival ability regarding the understanding of complex regulations, with the ability to prioritize within that framework.
- Proven project management skills, methodology, organization and ability to drive projects to completion.
- Business acumen that delivers expected results.
- Willingness to travel.

- Compliance decision making process (operations, IT systems, training, assessments).
- Decisions affect sales, sourcing, supply chain, logistics department across the company.
- Collaborate with senior management, partner with corporate functions such as Legal, Finance, Tax, Internal Audit, Internal Control, Supply Chain and all global Fabory/Grainger Business entities.
- EU and US government regulations, corporate policy, compliance SOP's and extensive international experience assist in decision making.
