**Position**:
Within the Marketing department, working closely with the Marketing and PR Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the Trade Marketing & Merchandising strategy. You are the connecting qualitative & quantitative link between Marketing and Sales. Co-responsible for improving brand awareness, ensuring brand image, increasing brand visibility, optimizing central & local promotions, and maintaining and strengthening the relationship with retailers.

**Job responsibilities**:
**Trade Marketing**
- **Co-responsible for setting up, communicating, successfully executing, and evaluating the annual Trade plan at key Retailers including ICI Paris XL and Douglas**
- **Develop and coordinate 360° plans for the key launches**
- **Creative development and optimization of existing and new trade tools**
- **Roll out and monitor local POS Trade activities at independent clients and flagship stores (through promotional contracts and BG gifts)**
- **Responsible for the distribution of all POS materials to the relevant stores based on quota distribution and in line with the established budget**
- **Analyze and evaluate sales results after trade activations**
- **Create and provide monthly reports for the Europe Regional team**
- **Prepare, communicate, and present in detail the Trade activation calendar and deployable tools during meetings with the sales team**
- **Prepare product presentations for internal and external use**
- **Responsible for Merchandising updates and continuous elevation of the Guerlain Spa at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Amsterdam**
- **Prepare competitive analysis: monthly report of the market
**Merchandising**
- **Responsible for all Soft Merchandising at all Retailers and all categories**:
**drawing up and distributing shelf plans and corresponding assortment lists, supervising POS remodeling projects and new openings, drawing up and following up the duratrans calendar**
- **POS activities: create shopping experience for consumers through the use of shop windows, podiums and outposts**
- **Responsible for implementing Merchandising for events, partnerships, PR Days and training sessions**
- **Responsible tor training and coaching the Sales team on Merchandising guidelines**
- **Lead the ‘Elevate Key Cities’ project with the Marketing and PR Manager**
- **Supervise and coordinate Hard Merchandising projects in collaboration with the Guerlain European Team (in Paris)
**Management of Trade & Merchandising expenses**
- **A-Z budget management: from PO preparation, new vendor creation to invoice allocation**
- **Monthly monitoring of the Marketing budget in coordination with the Marketing Manager and Brand Controller (COOP, samples, GWPs, local and central Merchandising, testers, etc.)**
- **Co-responsible for preparing the budget Y+1 and annual R1/R2 budget revisions
**Management of the Trade & Merchandising Intern**

**Profile**:
**PROFILE**
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant, similar work experience
- Minimum HBO level (Marketing, Communication, Design and/or Media)
- Very good knowledge of the Dutch language oral and written, fluent in English, French is a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Store experience within Retail, cosmetics experience is a plus
- Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)

- You are organized & structured, committed, reliable and enthusiastic by nature
- Able to think creatively and 'Out-of-the-Box'
- Thorough in budget monitoring and management
- In addition to a 'Hands On' mentality and strong organizational skills, you also have an 'Eye for Detail'.
- Functions well in a team but also works easily independently
- Above average affinity for luxury and an absolute passion for Cosmetics

- It all began with Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain. A perfumer, chemist, inventor and researcher, the House’s founder settled up his first boutique in the heart of Paris, at 42, rue de Rivoli. The address quickly became an essential destination for dandies and elegant women. The House’s reputation at the courts of Europe peaked when in 1853, for the marriage of Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie, Pierre-François-Pascal created his Eau de Cologne Impériale, which he gave to the young bride as a wedding present.
