- **️Your role**
We're seeking an Operations Manager to join the central Network Operations team at Fastned. The Network Operations team is responsible for ensuring we provide the best charging experience to our customers by optimising and managing our network of 1.800+ chargers in all countries where we operate.
In this role, you will be responsible for answering strategic questions and turning them into action by analysing data, developing dashboards and reporting frameworks, automating processes and distilling impactful insights on core business metrics. You will work directly with leadership to add critical analytical horsepower to ensure we're making data-driven decisions, and using insights to improve efficiency and charging experiences in a scalable and sustainable way. You will help to tackle the most critical business problems across Europe, working closely with Field Operations, Product & Engineering and Data teams.
The core mission of this role is to lead our automated monitoring capabilities that ensure the health and performance of our entire charging network. You will develop and improve automations to detect issues at our stations, keeping key operational metrics such as time to detection, uptime, and session success rate healthy. Additionally, you will oversee the lifecycle management of critical hardware components such as routers and cameras, leading the testing and piloting of new models, fixing complex issues and keeping our installed base up-to-date. As part of this role, you will get direct exposure to senior leadership by presenting data-driven insights and performance trends, as well as drive continuous improvement, and enhance the team's technical and analytical expertise.
- **️Your overall responsibilities include**
- Own key operational metrics related to automated monitoring and hardware systems, and work tirelessly to continuously improve them
- Maintain and improve our automatic monitoring system to detect network issues promptly and reliably
- Ensure the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of hardware systems, including routers and cameras
- Collaborate closely with the broader Operations & Analytics team to optimise our charging network and overcome challenges
- Scope issues and derive integral solutions based on robust analysis
- Break down big picture ideas into actionable steps to develop and optimise processes
- Leverage strong implementation skills to make projects and plans a reality
- Build and develop positive relationships with cross-functional teams and external suppliers such as charger manufacturers
- Lead projects independently, and become a fierce advocate for crafting business value
- Have a positive attitude and the ability to operate in a very fast-paced environment

- You have 3-5 years of operations or related experience with a proven track record of solving analytical problems
- You have extensive experience querying and analysing complex data in SQL
- You're a tech enthusiast at heart who enjoys the occasional deep dive into hardware systems; connecting routers, testing firmware, and tweaking configurations to make things run smoothly is your idea of fun
- You are proficient building dashboards on Google Sheets or similar tools
- You have a data-driven decision mentality and a strong business thinking
- You have strong implementation skills and process design experience
- You are able to collaborate with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders
- You are fluent in English, fluency in another European language is a plus
- You have a genuine interest in the energy transition and Fastned’s mission
- Bonus points if you have knowledge or interest in power electronics
