About this position
- The Relationship Management Associate (RMA) role is a critical support role within the T. Rowe Price Relationship Management and Sales teams. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be part of an experienced and ambitious international team working in a fast-paced and team driven environment. She/he will be an integral part of making sure the region runs smoothly by supporting the Relationship Managers in a variety of ways including meeting preparation and follow up, reporting and investment research, Salesforce management, managing pipeline and opportunities and liaising with other teams across the business such as RFP, Presentations, Marketing and Operations.
- We are looking for a smart, driven and ambitious individual with a genuine appetite for Investment Management and a passion to learn more about investment mandates, funds, financial markets and the industry. Outstanding communication and organizational skills along with excellent attention to detail and being able to multitask and work comfortably in a fast-paced environment is essential. The ability to build long lasting relationships both internally and externally is also very important for the role.
- This role will be Amsterdam based and will extent to the broader Northern Europe, Middle East & Africa region in terms of support activities

Principal Responsibilities

Sales/Servicing
- Develops a thorough understanding of key investment strategies and establishes relationships with the investment teams (primarily Portfolio Specialists). Develops detailed understanding of the applicable investment vehicle structures.
- Proactively identifies and raises suggestions for improvements to the quality and effectiveness of processes and customer service. The incumbent may be required to participate in or represent the Northern European, Middle East & Africa teams and its clients in wider team/departmental projects and goals.
- Provide high quality client service and sales support for the team’s institutional and intermediary clients and prospective clients, adhering to standardized sales management best practices. These activities include but are not limited to:

- Setting up quarterly review calls and request supporting presentation materials;
- Support in drafting of ad hoc presentations and getting them compliance approved utilizing specialist IT systems;
- Supporting RMs in swift meeting follow-up, pick up client requests for fund/strategy materials, client Operational Due Dilligence Questionnaire requests and Requests for Information/Proposals (RFI/RFP);
- Supporting RMs in organising client onsite visits (planning, agenda, presentations, preparation notes);
- Conduct periodic competitor and model portfolio (bank) analyses to monitor potential opportunities;
- Structure and monitor signals (Scoop) in (Exelerating) databases.

Marketing
- Liaises closely with Global Marketing in relation to any planned client communication or events and assists with client-related preparation.
- Take lead on organizing local events, plus active support role re marketing activities and with the Global Marketing Team in London.
- Attends internal client co-ordination meetings along with the relationship manager, ensuring any pertinent information is recorded within the client records and that any important updates are circulated to the RM team and other key stakeholders.

Office support
- Central point of contact for lease agency and vendors/suppliers.
- Local Health & Safety Officer
- Travel management support

Required:

- 2+ years of total relevant work experience
- Ability to quickly identify internal and external client needs/expectations and propose solutions, leveraging outstanding active listening and related skill sets
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and effectively adapt to new internal/external client information and situations
- Strong team player, ability to work in partnership with RMs and other RMAs in different geographies
- Sound judgment, problem solving and excellent organizational and time management skills
- Highly effective communication (verbal and written), collaboration and influencing skills
- Driven to achieve firm and client priorities: Honesty, transparency, open communication, motivation, enthusiasm, perseverance and resilience are hallmark personal traits
