**Assistant Roaster, part-time**

**We are looking for**

A new part-time (40%) Assistant Roaster to join our team. We seek someone eager to learn and flexible to work with a fast-growing Specialty Coffee company. Working alongside experienced team members, you’ll learn the ins and outs of operating our 60kg roaster, maintaining quality standards, and refining the art of Specialty Coffee roasting. This is a junior position, so while some experience is helpful, we’ll provide the training you need to succeed. **What You’ll Do**:

- ** Production roasting** on our 60kg roaster.
- Ensure every batch is roasted up to Wakuli’s quality standards.
- Conduct **quality control** checks on green and roasted coffee.
- Assist with **sample roasting**.
- Participate in **cupping sessions** to ensure quality and consistency.
- Take part in maintaining the equipment and the roasting area.
- This part time role starts at 40%, ideally Mondays and Tuesdays, with some flexibility and possibility to increase percentage as we grow._

**Who You Are**:

- ** Open-minded, curious, and eager to learn**.
- Some experience in coffee roasting (junior level, with training provided).
- A **fast learner** who can adapt to a dynamic environment.
- ** Flexible** and able to collaborate with a close-knit team.
- ** English speaker** with strong communication skills.
