As an R&D Intern in Precision Fermentation & Process Development, you will gain hands-on experience by working closely with our external partners and industry-leading R&D teams in precision fermentation. This is your opportunity to collaborate on impactful projects that are shaping the future of sustainable food production.
- What You'll Do:_
- Support the design and coordination of fermentation experiments in collaboration with external partners, contributing to food production breakthroughs.
- Assist partners and CMOs/CDMOs in ongoing research projects through data collection and process monitoring.
- Collaborate on optimizing downstream purification protocols with industry partners.
- Analyze and interpret data from fermentation experiments, providing actionable insights for process improvements.
- Help maintain accurate records and contribute to technical documentation that supports successful project outcomes.
- What We’re Looking For_

We are seeking a motivated and curious individual who is eager to learn and contribute to a fast-paced R&D environment. You’ll work directly with experts in fermentation and downstream processing and be part of our mission to transform the food industry.
- Qualifications:_
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in fermentation technology, downstream processing, and sustainable food production.
- Experience in laboratory settings or collaboration with external research facilities is a plus, particularly in fermentation or purification techniques.
- Ability to analyze data and contribute effectively to troubleshooting efforts.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
