Zurich Insurance Benelux has an excellent opportunity for you to become our MGA (Managing General Agent) Business Development Leader. As a part of our strategy to accelerate our growth in the Middle Market and MGA business, Zurich Insurance Benelux has recently established a Middle Market department. The role of MGA Business Development Leader will become a part of this Middle Market team and play a crucial role in managing, coordinating, and ultimately developing the portfolio of MGA’s alongside the Head of Middle Market.

This is a hybrid role where you will based in our office in The Hague, parttime (minimum 80%) is possible.

**Key Accountabilities**

In this role you are the go-to person for our external clients, brokers and internal colleagues with a focus on new business opportunities. You ensure the correct follow up within the MGA Governance framework and lead the onboarding of new MGA’s and managing existing relationships. In addition to this, your responsibilities include the following:

- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the MGA portfolio, from A to Z in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Establish strong relationships with agents to assure profitable portfolios combined with excellent service
- Develop and take the lead in market presence for potential and existing partners via webinars, events and trainings
- Complete activity and call reports on customer visits, quotations, prospects etc.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify gaps, and recommend actions to management (e.g., terminate agreements).
- Create an MGA culture at Zurich Benelux
- Examine customer potential and needs by analysing trends in portfolio
- Create business cases in collaboration with business lines for solutions
- and product development
- Sales funnel steering: prepare prospect and target lists for business lines and follow up on sales lifecycle

**What are we looking for?**
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in MGA management or related field
- Fluent in both English and Dutch, French is an asset
- Willing to travel to our office in Belgium when necessary
- Able to build solid and strategic relationships with colleagues of all levels and clients
- Expert in use of analytical tools and understanding of reporting systems
- Proven project management skills
