**What does the job function entail?**:

- This role is only available to people who are legally allowed to work in the Netherlands. No visa sponsorship or remote contractor work is possible._
- Develop and implement people and culture strategies that align with the company's goals and values in both the Netherlands and the USA.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to the board on people-related matters, including talent management, organizational development, and employee relations.
- Manage complex HR cases, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee grievances, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
- Enhance the employer branding of the company to attract and retain top talent.
- Attend board meetings once a month to provide updates on HR initiatives, discuss strategic priorities, and address any people-related concerns.
- Working closely with and mentoring the People & Culture Officer
- Serve as the main point of contact for external parties in the Netherlands and the US, including HR partners, legal counsel, and other stakeholders.

**Role Details**:

- Employment contract: temporary for one year, then permanent
- 3 days a week
- Hybrid (1 day a week in office)

**Who are we looking for?**:

- 5+ years of experience in HR leadership roles, with a strong focus on strategic HR management.
- Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory requirements in the Netherlands. Knowledge of US culture and best practices is a huge advantage.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing people and culture strategies in an international, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to manage complex and sensitive HR issues with professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal); proficiency in Dutch is a plus.

- A salary of EUR 5500 - 6000 based on 40 hours a week (EUR 3300 - 3600 based on 24 hours)
