**About the position**
As our External Communications Manager, you will play a key role in developing and executing our external communication strategy within our organization. You will be responsible for managing our external communications efforts, including media relations, public relations, Public Affairs, stakeholder management and crisis communications. Your primary objective will be to enhance our company's reputation, build brand awareness, and foster positive relationships with external stakeholders.

You will in this role report to the Chief Corporate Communications Officer and will be an integral part of the Global Communication team at Accell Group. This is a full-time position and you are expected to travel occasionally to our sites in Europe.

**Your responsibilities**
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and external public stakeholders;
- Proactively pitch stories and secure positive media and external coverage to promote our brand and enhance our visibility in the market;
- Develop a proactive stakeholder dialogue process on relevant issues;
- In the event of a crisis or, you will be responsible for managing our response and mitigating reputational risk. This may involve drafting crisis communication plans, coordinating responses with senior leadership, and liaising with external stakeholders to address concerns;
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure consistency in messaging and branding;
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the impact of external communication initiatives.

- HBO or University degree in Communications, Journalism or another relevant area (e.g. Economics, Business);
- A substantial track record of achievement in an external communications role;
- Demonstrated expertise in specifically media relations, crisis communication, and stakeholder engagement;
- Extensive experience of advising and influencing senior stakeholders and working in a matrix environment;
- Proven ability to partner and collaborate as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and others at all levels within the organization, including department heads and factory directors, employees and external stakeholders;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with poise and professionalism;
- Excellent oral and written proficiency in Dutch and English.
