**THE ROLE**

As the Finance Director at Skytree, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for building and leading the company’s financial operations in a fast-paced, growth-driven scale-up environment.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will provide strategic financial insights to guide business decisions, identify and mitigate financial risks, lead the finance team and support forming consortia of debt providers and collaborating with debt advisory firms to financially engineer full CO2aaS business models and customer project financing.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing immediate day to day operational demands with long-term financial strategy.

**YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT BY**
- Financial Strategy and Leadership:

- Designing and implementing the company’s financial strategy to support rapid growth and scalability.
- Providing financial insight and guidance to the CFO and executive team on key decisions.
- Board Reporting and Governance:

- Preparing and presenting detailed financial reports, business performance updates, and strategic plans to the supervisory board.
- Communicating financial results, forecasts, and key metrics, providing insights and recommendations for decision-making.
- Ensuring transparent and effective communication between the finance team, executive leadership, and the supervisory board.
- Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting:

- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial and cash flow planning to ensure financial targets are met.
- Developing financial models that support business objectives, including cash flow analysis, burn rate monitoring, and revenue projections.
- Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with both Dutch GAAP, US GAAP and already compliant with IFRS.
- Financial Operations:

- Establishing and managing the company’s financial processes, systems, and policies (accounting, invoicing, payroll, audits).
- Monitoring financial performance, implementing cost controls, and identifying opportunities to optimize efficiency and profitability.
- Compliance and Risk Management:

- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and industry standards.
- Implementing risk management strategies to protect the company’s assets and minimize exposure.
- Debt Provider Consortia Support:

- Support in building and maintaining strong relationships with a consortia of debt providers, including banks, financial institutions, and other lenders.
- Supporting in negotiating debt terms, interest rates, and covenants to secure favorable financing options that support the company’s capital needs.
- Team Management:

- Building, leading, and mentoring a small but high-performing finance team as the company grows.
- Fostering a data-driven and financially accountable culture across departments

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- Proven experience in a senior finance role in a high-growth start-up/scale up company.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build and scale finance functions while balancing hands-on execution and strategy.
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
- Experience in Hardware/ Tech/ Manufacturing companies is a plus.
- Experience dealing with tax filings in NL and US
- Experience in reporting to a Supervisory Board or equivalent governing body, with strong communication and presentation skills.
- High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
