BANQUETING OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE – DELIVERING SEAMLESS EXPERIENCES AND MAKING OUR EVENTS WONDERFUL.


The Hague Marriott, the largest hotel in The Hague, is ideally located in the heart of the international zone, close to the World Forum Convention Centre, the prime minister’s residence "Catshuis," and "Kunstmuseum." With 306 luxurious rooms and suites, including a Presidential Suite, and 24 meeting rooms, our hotel is the perfect venue for conferences, events, and special occasions. Our Food & Beverage department features a lounge bar, a breakfast restaurant, banqueting rooms, and an executive lounge for our VIP guests.



BANQUETING SERVICE ASSOCIATE


As a Banqueting Operations Associate, you are responsible to deliver an excellent brilliant guest experience during our Meeting & Events. You ensure that all tasks carried out in the Banqueting department comply with standard operational procedures and hotel legal and environmental policies and procedures to uphold brand standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


  • Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner
  • Coordinate the meeting or event on the day itself.
  • Up-sell with latest departmental incentives.
  • Manage meeting set-ups according to brand standards.
  • Host diners, receptions, conferences where the guest is the centre point of attention.
  • Exceeding expectation with creative breaks, cocktails, lunches and dinners.
  • Follow cash handling procedures.
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance of brand standards.
  • Strive to achieve departmental targets.
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
  • Comply with local licensing laws.
  • Be environmentally aware.
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.

You are:


  • Passionate about hospitality and F&B.
  • Flexible to work a varied schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
  • Experienced in working with Opera and preferably Marsha and Salesforce.
  • Highly organized and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced hhanging environment: stays calm and professional.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills at all levels. Good verbal and communication skills in English. (Dutch is an plus).
  • Pro-active, reliable, dynamic and flexible person at all times
  • Experience in a global Hotel chain and customer faced role is an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
