Role Summary
Financial Analyst
An exciting opportunity exists within the finance department of a leading manufacturing organization. The Financial Analyst role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and analysis. This position will report directly to the Site Controller and will focus on delivering essential financial insights for operational effectiveness.
We seek a proactive individual with a strong desire to learn and a hands-on approach. Your primary objective will be to enhance factory performance while providing comprehensive support across various financial functions. A commitment to achieving results and meeting targets is crucial for success in this role. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to inspire teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute period-end closing processes in SAP, including a thorough review of actual performance against budgets and forecasts. Lead forecasting and budgeting initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational functions to maintain accuracy. Deliver complete and timely management reports that measure performance against key operational and financial metrics. Conduct analysis of historical data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement. Analyze financial information to support decision-making processes. Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to consolidate information regarding open purchase orders and coordinate necessary actions. Serve as the primary contact for site-related materials and vendor setups, ensuring smooth procurement processes. Initiate and drive improvements in reporting structures and working methods, enhancing efficiency within the site and with central operations. Provide insights on cost pricing and work towards improving the accuracy of cost data in the financial systems. Establish and maintain SAP master data that impacts standard costing processes. Ensure adherence to internal and external accounting standards and regulations.Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or business control, ideally within a manufacturing context. Familiarity with accounting principles is advantageous. Experience with SAP Finance and Controlling modules is a plus. Proficient in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills. Strong command of English; knowledge of Dutch or a willingness to learn is beneficial.Competencies
