Field Applications Scientist

The Field Applications Scientist at MaxCyte, Inc. provides technical support to customers of our Scalable Transfection Systems, focusing on cell therapy and protein production/expression. This role involves partnering with customers to identify and implement solutions for process improvements throughout the cell engineering workflow, including pre- and post-electroporation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct product demonstrations, end-user training, and troubleshooting for customers.
- Work closely with the Territory Manager to support existing customers and promote MaxCyte technology to new customers.
- Design experiments, analyze customer data, and provide technical support via phone, email, and web chat.
- Troubleshoot the integration of MaxCyte technology into customer workflows and develop solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Perform installations, instrument calibrations, and software upgrades.
- Present technical information at conferences and customer field visits.
Requirements:
- PhD or MS in bioengineering, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Recent hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and gene editing.
- At least 3 years' experience in cell therapy, immunology, or protein production and drug discovery process development.
- Strong trouble-shooting skills, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel 50-70% (under normal, non-pandemic situations).
