As a Process Improvement Specialist, your insights and conclusions are driven by data analysis. You will oversee projects from inception to completion, collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure organizational support. Ultimately, you will facilitate the effective implementation of changes alongside the business owner. Each project will present unique challenges, ranging from initiation to execution and assessment; you will be involved in every phase.
Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of projects, from minor process enhancements to strategic initiatives where Lean methodologies are applied for analysis and structure. This often entails cross-functional improvement projects where you will guide and advise senior management on their challenges. You will rely on your team, working collaboratively with colleagues in dynamic project groups. You will conduct analyses to uncover improvement opportunities, which may focus on enhancing customer and employee satisfaction, achieving cost reductions, or boosting future revenue streams.
As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will engage in projects such as:
Streamlining the turnaround time and processing duration within the Credit origination workflow Developing a framework to collect and utilize ESG data, enabling tailored ESG guidance for Corporate Banking clients Establishing the structure, roles, responsibilities, and operational methods for newly formed or significantly altered departmentsWork Environment
The Strategy Execution & Implementation (SE&I) unit serves as a center of expertise within the COO office of ABN AMRO. SE&I comprises a diverse team of professionals skilled in Program, Project, Change, Implementation management, and Lean Six Sigma consultancy. In addition to these competencies, they possess specific knowledge of client units and domains within the bank. SE&I empowers the bank to manage and execute both strategic and regulatory-driven transformations. By taking end-to-end ownership, they ensure that changes are thoroughly integrated into the organization, realizing effective and efficient transformations with measurable impact, thereby enhancing the bank's capability to execute change and 'Make Strategy Work'.
As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will be functionally integrated into the Sales & Operational Excellence Consultancy team within the SE&I unit of the COO office. You will collaborate closely with fellow (Lean) consultants, the global P&C departments (Management Control & Regulations and regional P&C departments), various client segments (Commercial Clients and Corporate & Institutional Clients), products (Financing Solutions and ABF), and other (external) stakeholders (IT, Risk, and Finance) to manage the change process.
Your Profile
Lean or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification Minimum of 6 years of experience in Lean (Six Sigma) projects with demonstrable impact Ability to mentor less experienced colleagues Exceptional communicator capable of acting as a natural (informal) leader Outgoing personality, able to engage at multiple levels and serve as an experienced advisor to senior management Strong analytical, presentation, and consultancy skills Proficient in translating a comprehensive perspective into actionable steps Fluent in Dutch and English (both spoken and written)We Offer
