PhD Position in Polymeric Lipid Formulations for Nucleic Acid Therapeutics

The Bio-organic Chemistry group at Eindhoven University of Technology is seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to work on the development of polymeric lipid formulations for the delivery of nucleic acid therapeutics. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research in the field of nanomedicine.
Key Responsibilities- Design and synthesis of polymeric lipid formulations for nucleic acid delivery
- Characterization and optimization of polymeric lipid formulations
- Collaboration with industrial partners and other research groups
- Development of teaching skills and coaching of students
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biomedical Science, Polymer Chemistry, or Molecular Pharmaceutics
- Demonstrated knowledge of organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and supramolecular chemistry
- Experience with cell biology and/or pharmaceutical research is considered a plus
- Research-oriented attitude and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
- Fluent in spoken and written English (C1 level)
- Full-time employment for four years with an intermediate evaluation after nine months
